Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

No, I would never take money from someone. I just like to help and if you are honest with a associate then most of them actually will try to help. There are ways around everything. My job is to make sure you know what you are getting and that it's something you can afford. I can't sell them outright but a Walmart associate can. They are not under the same restrictions we are. The key is to find a Walmart associate that knows how to work warp. I hope that helps

Physically went into 7 stores and checked the website for over 25 ZIP codes within the Houston area for all possible iPhone configurations, but not a single reservation available or physical phone for the ones I went into Frown

In theory this will do it for you, for free if everything's good (once you've booted with an AT&T sim and it's locked): https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/

If they reject that then an eBay code I would presume. Always had it accepted in the past and when my eBay sim card gets here I'm certainly hoping that's true again. If not, then I suppose I'll be trying an eBay unlock.

I managed to reserve an XS 64GB but they would not sell it to me for the $99. Swore up and down that it was with a contract.

I managed to get 3 of these 64gb. Can anyone explain to me how do I go about unlocking. The sales associate just rung me up and I paid. Not sure what service or what.
