Junior skis with bindings: 92, 104, 110, 116, 122, 128, 140cm sizes available. REI says it's reduced from $300, next best price searching is $180. I bought 4 sets for my kids to grow into

Nice find OP and a great way to start the littles out. I would caution "growing" into these skis with extra pairs. If they are going to spend significant hill time each year they may outgrow the capabilities of these skis. If you're only looking at a few days a year this is probably a good route to take.

For those looking at ski lessons you could package these with Roces adjustable boots and your child will be much more comfortable than the typical rental package. This package would also be competitive with rental prices if you are planning on renting more than a few days.
FWIW we had a girl first and then 3 boys. My 5 year old son is currently skiing on skis that say "roxy girl" with butterflies

Thanks for the reply! We have a cabin right by the slopes so we go every weekend and they alternate boarding and skiing, but only started last year. I figure we'll get them more advanced skis when they hit puberty (they are under 8). If that is a not-so-good plan lol, what type of skis should I buy them as they progress? I'm a snowboarder myself and only started to ski by buying used equipment...

I have 2 boys ( I guess one can do the same for boy/girl if you don't buy pink skis LOL) so what I did was buy new skis for the older one which becomes a hand me down for the younger one. I bought regular poles but later on started buying trekking/hiking poles which are length adjustable. Used skis/poles are are great bargain too specially that the kids don't need performance gear yet but I would buy new boots so that they conform to the shape of their feet.Keep in mind, sometimes kids outgrow their gear within the season, so that's why season rentals are great, you can always swap them out when they outgrow the gear. For boots you can buy a slightly bigger size and start with thicker socks and go thinner as their feet get bigger, again this is ok for beginners but thick socks are not normally ok for perfomance.

edit: I normally get skis with adjustable rail bindings or referred to as demo/rental bindings so you can easily adjust them to the proper boot size.

The ski camber is specified as "Tip and Tail Rocker". Does it mean it has a camber in the center? Or is it a complete rocker profile? That makes huge difference. I never understands those complete rocker profiles but it's just my personal preference.

Just imagine a mustache! Yes there is camber in the middle. The rocker-camber-rocker profile in this case I believe makes the skis appear shorter than its it since the tip and tail is pointing up and not always touching the snow so its easier to maneuver.

Complete rockers are for pow-pow! Not that great IMHO for groomed but people do use them maybe because they don't really carve but just slide around

This is a relatively OK deal. Keep in mind that it looks like the bindings are being sold unmounted so you may have to spend another $20+ to get it mounted. With the added mounting cost, it makes it just an OK deal for this pair of ski. I find similar deals in my local ski shop during sale.

I don't have these skis, but the bindings don't look adjustable -- which means you'll have to re-mount them every year as your kid grows. That's a dealbreaker for me. I'd recommend something like the Volkl Chicas or Racetigers (same price on Amazon), which allow you to quickly adjust the binding to fit the boot.

My 12YO has skied her Chica 130s for the past 3 years, even though she's gone through 3 boot sizes (5-8). Will have to get her a longer pair of skis next year, and will give these to her younger sister (size 4).

When I was instore on Saturday at REi they said they mount and fit the boots for free as long as they are bought from there. Maybe she was mistaken or maybe this varies by store but I just bought a set of these ski's and a pair of Dalbello boots for my daughter. My boys work at a ski resort and can probably get these fitted there for free. These are the rental ski's she had been using the past few weekends. This beats $30+ a day!

I don't know anything about bindings so you maybe right, but the description says:

https://www.rossignol.com/int-en/...tion-title

"Junior Tool-Free Adjustability
Kid-X integrated binding systems offer tool-free adjustability for quickly-growing skiers"

and

"KID X
KID-X integrated binding systems support the progression of junior skiers, allowing a more natural ski flex for greater control. Offering auto-compatibility with both adult (A) boots and children's (C) boots, KID-X systems allow tool-free adjustment between boot sole lengths (205-305mm)."
