Buying a laptop that might not come with factory warranty - that's foolish.

1100 dollars for a laptop with a 3060 is the best move imo. The desktop variant (which will be a bit faster) has a MSRP of 300 dollars now, but with tariffs its going to be 400+ easily. That's assuming you can even get your hands on one.

For 1100, you get an entire computer. Also folks who wants a gaming laptop are in a completely different market than those who want a desktop.

I've never had issues with pre-ordering from BB before.

Some ok 'deals' annoying that 3 items added right off the amazon deal page didn't include 20% off when acutally checking out, bought 5 items that did.

Got the roborock vacuum today. It definitely says S5 on the box and on the vacuum itself. The model number comes back to an S5 Max, which is actually more expensive when new than an S6 Pure. Going to do a bit of research on the differences. Getting anything from Amazon's CS is like pulling teeth.

Here's a handy comparison. Looks like the S5 Max isn't that bad a deal compared to the S6 Pure. Might just keep it. https://www.gearbrain.com/roboroc...36933.html

S5 Max looks different than S5. I got two S5 - one clearly used and the other brand new.

The model code on the bottom is S551-01. Googling it gave me the S5 Max... But you're right, the thing I received looks different from the S5 Max on Roborock's website. The water tank looks TINY. On the plus side, it looks brand new.

I spoke to Amazon (on the phone, not chat, you have to insist via chat that they have their business department with a 206 number call you) and got $50 back. Suuuuuper helpful lady on the phone (just as helpful as the chat reps are useless). I mean, for $132 it's a great deal for a LIDAR vac even if it has some limitations.

The phone number I got on my caller ID was 206-922-0880. The number the rep (Priyanka was her name if you are lucky enough to get her) gave me to call in the future is 866-486-2360. Good luck.

Got my 2 S5's today. Both seem brand new, not even fingerprints. For $170, keeping these is a no brainer. Sure I'll have to use the mihome app instead and will have to zone clean instead of choosing specific rooms. No biggie for me. Plus don't plan on using the mop at all

What is the difference between S5 and S5 Max that people were hoping this would be? Seems like you are saying S5 needs a different app than S5 Max. What are the drawbacks of the app? Also is there a practical difference between zone vs specific rooms? I am only looking to vacuum my main floor which is an open area and not closed rooms/spaces.

Amazon keeps tracks of how much refund they are giving you. Eventually some threshold triggers a warning and an eventual ban. Check reddit for more details on this.

Got my two S5s one of them is brand new but other seems is used and not in a great condition. Going to return the used one and keep the new one.

Vs the max, bigger dust bin and water bin. The max can use the roborock app, the s5 can only use the mihome app. The max map allows you to assign rooms and names and can vacuum them separately

Couldn't begin to be bothered less about this. Most of those are old cases anyways. I return roughly every 10th Amazon order. If they were going to ban me, they'd have done it already.

Great. Thank you. So does everyone still think that this is a good price/deal considering its an S5. I have never bought these so not sure if it is a good price. Seems like S5 Max new sells for $400 when on sale so expecting to pay $170 was not realistic.

Depending on the condition yours arrived in, it is a great deal. Very rarely you would be able to get a deal on a Robot vacuum for under $200 with LIDAR navigation and mopping feature. That too a well reviewed known brand-name in robot vacuums.

The closest price on a LIDAR vac is Wyze for $200, but it hasn't been released yet. So anything under that, especially from a well-known brand, such as Roborock/Xiaomi, is fantastic.
