I had to return the one I bought,It does not install easily on older furnaces (2008) and customer support told me to hire a HVAC tech to do it. Probably why Woot has a few of these to unload,mine would have been $110 after the $50 rebate. https://www.resideo.com/us/en/thermostat-rebates

Bought one last month, install is easy. keep in mind this needs a C wire.
Works great most time. But it happened a couple of times the heat delayed starting per the schedule.
Still try to debug it. feels it is just a defective one.

That was my issue,In the manual they tell you to jump the G wire if you don't have a C wire and it did not work,support could not help solve the problem over the phone. I thought the manual was a bit thin compared to the detailed instructions in the Ecobee that I did install, I just had to do a little rewiring.

Don't have this model, but a different Honeywell Thermostat, and can vouch for the quality. Never had an issue and the app is fantastic for controlling remotely.

I had an older version Honeywell smart thermostat at my old house so bought this around black Friday for my new house. Installed myself (I have a C wire) and it works alright but I hate the touch screen. Takes several pokes to get it to register a touch where my old model wasn't nearly so bad. Connectivity and smart features all work fine, which is what I primarily use, but the screen seems pretty picky. .

We've had it for about 2 years now and has worked great for us, our furnaces and AC from 1992 and the install went very easily as long as you have the C wire.

In Massachusetts you can also get a rebate that pays for it up to $100. So was free for us.

I have this one and the previous gen version. Works well, app control is great. The newer one (this one) has a less responsive touchscreen than the prior gen version for some reason. I rarely touch the screen, I use the app mainly.

I had a Honeywell wifi thermostat from a couple of years ago and hated it. It constantly disconnected from the internet but none of my other wifi devices had problems. Set up was miserable and took several calls to customer service. Android had even more problems than Apple. Replaced it with a nest and have absolutely loved it.

I like the look of these. However the Honeywell app for android have connection issues from time to time.

I find nest being more reliable.

Anyone notice the same?
