Recommendations for additional RAM and secondary SSD for computer

2,889 1,361 January 21, 2021 at 03:19 PM Office Depot and OfficeMax
I recently purchased the computer found here:

https://www.officedepot.com/a/pro...owse=false

I would like to add additional RAM and a second SSD. Can anyone recommend quality brands (with links)? I've never added hardware to a computer before, so perhaps links to online step-by-step tutorials would be helpful too. Any help is appreciated!

hard drive video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z...=HPSupport

memory is pretty simple any video will show how to add memory

it has 8gb of RAM so I would go for another 8, go to crucial.com it will scan your system and give you a list of memory options pretty much just pick the cheapest 8GB they offer for the SSD the price is all over the board from about 50 bucks on up do you have a size in mind?

500GB would probably be a good place to start, even with small needs . Boss had me take the time to find prices on SSDs a couple of weeks ago... only to sit on it till those prices become irrelevant... What I saw was basically 4TB was $444, 2TB was $180, 1TB was $90, 500GB was $50, and 250GB was $43. If you need larger than 500GB, I hope that this helps you know what recent prices have been like.

Thank you for the information so far. For the SSD, I was thinking 500 GB or 1 TB.

Do you recommend any particular brands?

Since you system is not that fast I don't think I would spend the extra $$ for a NVME SSD you could just go with the crucial or pretty much a WD/or Samsung drive will work fine for you.
