Microsoft has recently announced that the price of Xbox Live Gold is going up. The $60 1 year membership will now be $60 for a 6 month membership. If you are subscribed at the current rate they will honor a renew at your old price.
Retailers are now carrying the new $60 6 month cards. You can get ahead by stocking up on the old cards at their original price points being the price hike. This will make the gamepass trick more expensive too at the new price points, so now is the time.

I bought xbox series x and enrolled for $1 for 3 months GPU offer from holiday season. That should run out in March.

What is my best option to enroll in 3 year GPU at lowest price? Possible? How?
Less than 3 years fine too. Possible? How?
Because I bought the gamepass ultimate in December and now it's a month later I assume I have the ability to add at least one more month (not a lot, I know).
But anything I add at this point because I already have the game pass ultimate conversion done previously, if I add a month or two of Xbox live on top of that does that also turn to Game Pass Ultimate?
Basically I just want to extend my game pass ultimate further if possible at the discounted rate..

I believe the bad ratio (1:3) is only if you add it to an active GPU account.

covid-19 caused me and a lot of other people to game now more than ever. But honestly I only play 2 games hardcore and rest are either backlogged or 10 min pallet cleaners to get me ready for a another GTAO marathon. I can literally play 1 game all year and get more value from them someone that bought 10 games. GPU doesn't help me, or any other hardcore gamer that plays one or two games a year but plays daily.
On one hand I could agree about adjusting a certain mindset if you want to get more value from GPU. But at the same time I really just sounds like you're carrying water for Microsoft after they just pulled a really bad PR move. And I've carried a lot of water for Microsoft over the past 20 years my friend....
