Yep. Who wants to keep a phone for more than two years? I upgrade my phone every 18 months to get the latest technology.

Was going to look into setting up, but xfinity's site is so janky. Tried multiple times with my login, but kept on wanting to ask me to login again after I was already logged in.

Obviously, you did not read the fine print... " *If line is canceled, voluntarily or involuntarily, or device payments are accelerated, the remaining credits associated with device payments are lost." 🤔🤔🤔

They just started this "accelararion of payment" maybe a couple of years ago. Before it was ok to pay off your device and request unlock after just a couple of months.

AT&T is the same way, once paid off you lose the remaining credits. This is their new "non-contract" way to keep people tied to them. Not sure how Verizon does it, and I didn't know T-Mobile was a bit better. But still, is T-Mobile's method T-Mobile credit, or "cash" where if you left them they'd give you a check?

Looks like xfinity takes trade-ins too, but so ridiculous that they don't let you see what the values are online.

Data points for comparison:
Unlocked S20 Ultra is $50 cheaper here than S21 Ultra at Samsung's site with a trade-in valued $550 there. The S21 is $100 less and the S21+ is $50 less at Samsung.com with same trade-in, than the "equivalent" S20 or S20+ here. Some carrier-locked are up to $100 less with carrier financing than the Unlocked version at Samsung. Plus decent cashback/discount opportunities there. Hopefully that helps someone.

The various S21 phones at Xfinity seem to have similar $400 off deals right now.

I have Xfinity mobile line. If I'm reading this right, can I upgrade to S20 pay $749 then wait 90 days to get $400 unlock phone and then sell it? Total cost for S20 will be about $349. What do you think the S21 will be worth after 90 days? This phone seems better in features than the S21
