Thanks OP - repped!
I got 2 for just over 300
These are BRAND NEW & come with a 2 year warranty for all you arguing about battery replacement. Dyson will send you a new one, no need to fret.

I think most people are intelligent enough to understand that if they're buying a half-priced no-name version of whatever, they're most likely not getting 100% of the original's "quality". Lol.

6mo refurb warranty vs. 2 year new.

I have a DC16 and a V6 that both need battery replacement due to extremely low run time, due to battery age. Dyson OEM DC16 battery is not an option as it is no longer listed on the Dyson site. V6 pack from Dyson runs about $100, not factoring in tax and shipping.
Feedback and reviews on eBay don't help on determining overall quality though, may have to resort to Amazon feedback to try to filter out the quality of some of the packs. Would actually love it if there was a site that actually did a true quality review on some of these packs, having a unknown vendors pack plugged in to be ready for use and then the higher current pull of the Dyson motor taken into account is not something I want to trust to a company that is trying to cut costs by a penny by dropping some safety circuitry.
The other thing I'd consider is a adapter to the DC16 that would let me plug in a known tool battery, say something like a Milwaukee M18 with decent battery management built-in and available in reasonable supply. I've seen the adapter from M18 to V18 and they seem to work well enough. Yes, the 21.6V vs 18V might be a slight issue, but there was an Instructables alternative powering article that seemed to indicate that 18V was sufficient to operate the Dyson, but that article then proceeded to hardwire a 20V 6A laptop supply in place, leaving the existing Dyson battery thermistor in place, but that's more of a corded solution and I would prefer to stay cordless since I can always pull out the regular upright vacuum if I need something beyond the cordless capability.
