I got one of these last time they were this price and although the build it's very good for $12, I haven't been able to tune it.
Usually ukulele comes in loose strings, you need to turn it until reach GCEA. Playing and tune it every day and a week later it should start to set.
I would spend more to get $ range from 50 to 80 either,
Enya Nova U mini or concert
or
Flight Travel series TUS, TUSL, TUC.
If you want to pay a lot more get Outdoor Ukulele some where around $155 to $210 depends on size and customization, 100% made in USA. Probably a lot more durable than those two, could take a lot more beating.
Note: compare to wooden ukulele there's no need o fix and adjust on action height, sharp frets, wood expend or shrink due to weather and humidity. Although wooden ukulele, in my personal opinion, sounds better.
P.S. Fixing those above wooden ukulele issues may cost an arm and leg starting like the cost of those Enya and Flight ukulele I mentioned.
Hope this helps for people who's new and thinking of getting into the uke world.
