It used to be my favorite magazine. Now it is no better than CNN. So disappointed ☹️

But if everyone read this, there would be no conspiracy theorists left.

And News should not be conserved, but spread about liberally.

(That's like saying that you'd like a conservative return on your investments, rather than a liberal return.)

Excellent weekly newspaper magazine. Digital + Print version is my favorite. Listen to their professional readers on audio. Look at the articles you want to follow up on or browse the various charts, infographics, etc. With the print version.

A few bucks more than previous deals, but that's negligible when you consider the steep discount off the retail price.

I find The Economist to be the best return on value when it comes down to time spent reading the news and the information I gain from it.

Price aside, I only have a few minutes of the day I'm willing to dedicate to keeping up with what's happening in the world. I don't want to waste that time reading someone's opinion on what they deem influential. I want data-backed articles on what impacts the world at large. The Economist delivers that in a concise and balanced way.

These comments are hilarious to me. Either it is a total liberal rag or it is the finest weekly magazine ever known. No in-between.

Personally, I subscribe to the print edition and listen to a few of their podcasts. In general, the reporting is fair but the editorial has shifted toward anti-Trumpism, which some see as anti-Conservative. It will be interesting to see where they go now that he is out of office.

You probably do get more information with a wsj or ft subscription but you have to sift through a lot of crap before you find the meaty stories. The Economist provides an easier to digest package for most.

Nah, just giving them a hard time.... The economist is a decent mag.... But you know the defiler in chief touches anything and it's politicized....

I'm guessing the people complaining about the economist being left wing are the same people that complain that Fox news has become as liberal as CNN.
