Great VPN. They recently released a statement with screenshots from websites that rate VPNs for money, and basically said they are no longer playing that game. That they would rather invest that money in the platform (because some of the sites were complaining that they could not make enough commission based on their sale prices).

Take that with a grain of salt or not, but if you don't find them on the rating sites for "top VPNs of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc., I can tell you that it's not because they are not worth it.

Before the pandemic I would have to travel to about 9-12 countries per year, and Windscribe never let me down. Easy interface, quick and stable connection, and also no logs being kept.

I was lucky to get a lifetime a few years ago, and they have been getting better and better. Since that's not being offered anymore, this is a great deal imho.

Wish they had the lifetime plans available again

Windscribe has worked great for me when I was in China and in Russia.

I got the 3 year about 2 years ago...works good, but this is too much of a price increase for me to extend my subscription.

Yes it does. But speeds are not that great. I connected via their Delhi server, which works, but the video quality was dynamically adjusted to low quality. So it's not a great experience, but otherwise works fine. Their Chennai server was even slower and couldn't stream anything at all.

Eventually gave up and just signed up for Hotstar US. I see now they've removed the Delhi server and now have only Mumbai, Pune and Chennai. I haven't tried the new ones since we have Hotstar US anyway. But I suspect the experience won't be much different from Delhi (on the app both Mumbai and Pune are rated at 2-bars on a 3-bar scale; same as what Delhi was. Chennai is rated at 1-bar)

The owner of the service is a pretty cool guy who regularly berates people who give his app a low rating on the App Store. That being said it's solid. I used to use it as a backup VPN for when PIA IPs were blocked, and they often are. Plus there's some locations you can't get with PIA for whatever reason. Speeds are decent, sometimes good, sometimes bad. I used to have the freebie 50GB but when I unsubscribed, I lost it all as part of the deal. Really wish I just had it just filtered to trash so I wouldn't lose that precious free bandwidth Frown.
