Great VPN. They recently released a statement with screenshots from websites that rate VPNs for money, and basically said they are no longer playing that game. That they would rather invest that money in the platform (because some of the sites were complaining that they could not make enough commission based on their sale prices).

Take that with a grain of salt or not, but if you don't find them on the rating sites for "top VPNs of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc., I can tell you that it's not because they are not worth it.

Before the pandemic I would have to travel to about 9-12 countries per year, and Windscribe never let me down. Easy interface, quick and stable connection, and also no logs being kept.

I was lucky to get a lifetime a few years ago, and they have been getting better and better. Since that's not being offered anymore, this is a great deal imho.

Wish they had the lifetime plans available again

Windscribe has worked great for me when I was in China and in Russia.

The steal was paying a few bucks extra on top of that $20 back then for lifetime deal and not worrying about price increase later down road Now all the 3yr subs are expiring and looking at this price and are complaining.
The good thing is they allow code stacking - so it's possible to get as many years as someone likes, always has been. The trend is that in 3 more years it will be $74. Wink

How much was the lifetime subscription?
It was between $30-$50 normally and most recently before they permanently discontinued it $69.

I was lucky enough to get a lifetime pro subscription in 2019. I am actively using in since then on my ASUS Merlin router with split tunneling. So far no complains, good speeds, no dropouts and they got wireguard support too 👍

Does Merlin have WireGuard now? Can I ask which router you're using?

I've had a hard time finding VPNs that work with HULU live. Will this work? There is no mention of Netflix and Hulu on their features page.

Hulu works fine, don't use LiveTV though. Can't see how it would be different.

If you don't support "The Party" and you like to voice unpopular opinions, you should get this. Said to say that this is a concern in the USA now.

Netflix works fine. Used to have to select a "Windflix" server, but now any will do.

It's a fun way to see what Netflix offers in other countries that we don't have here.

Snowden showed us it's been a problem always. Also to protect yourself from general tracking from Facebook & Co.

Also, note that a VPN is just one of the many blocks needed to really protect yourself. Smilie

Just FYI I have a lifetime subscription and got a very curious email from Windscribe . I think what they were saying was that they had lost their Internet backbone but they were working to replace it with something even better . They then included a picture of Aladdin on a magic carpet. I say I think this is what they were saying because frankly not everything they said made sense and I really do not understand what a smiling cartoon character on a magic carpet has to do with anything .
