Great VPN. They recently released a statement with screenshots from websites that rate VPNs for money, and basically said they are no longer playing that game. That they would rather invest that money in the platform (because some of the sites were complaining that they could not make enough commission based on their sale prices).

Take that with a grain of salt or not, but if you don't find them on the rating sites for "top VPNs of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc., I can tell you that it's not because they are not worth it.

Before the pandemic I would have to travel to about 9-12 countries per year, and Windscribe never let me down. Easy interface, quick and stable connection, and also no logs being kept.

I was lucky to get a lifetime a few years ago, and they have been getting better and better. Since that's not being offered anymore, this is a great deal imho.

Wish they had the lifetime plans available again

Windscribe has worked great for me when I was in China and in Russia.

Haven't used it other than to test to see if it works with Netflix. What are the cons?
I found it slow, IVACY doesn't support new protocols like WireGuard (which is a gamechanger) and don't seem to put as much effort into community as Windscribe does (with Discord, Reddit, etc...). I like that Windscribe lets you block groups of services (like ads, malware, crypto, social, etc..) or use a manual deny/allow list.

But it's all about what you need. If you just want to watch some Netflix from other countries from time to time, and Ivacy can do that (never tested it myself) then not a big reason to switch. I like to use VPN for everything, from privacy/ad-blocking to streaming.

How is this service compared to ExpressVPN & NordVPN?
I am looking since a while for a good VPN deal...
I pay less (around $45 for 3 years, after cash back) for NordVPN and I think they're better. You'll find people who have had bad experiences (performance-wise) with any VPN, though.

what is the speed you all getting? I have 300 mbps without vpn but after windscribe its dropping to only 100 mbps. is this the normal?
Try their Beta app with WireGuard protocol. Speed should improve alot.

I own both NordVPN and Windscribe and I can say, hands down, that Windscribe is light years ahead of NordVPN. Windscribe also doesn't pay for positive reviews or Youtubers to promote them. The money goes into their infrastructure instead, which is why it's so darn good. Smilie

Has split tunneling capability. Very few low cost VPNs can do that. I know VPN Unlimited does not. Makes a difference for me.
VPN Unlimited does indeed have split tunneling. I made the same comment as you on another post and someone informed me so I checked and both the mobile app and the FireTV app have it.

Yes if you are using the them from the same IP address from your home or where ever they are located but if they see multiple IP addresses(sharing your account with others) using the same account I think that's when the red flag comes up and they will send you a warning.
I presume this means that if I share it with my teenage son, he shouldn't use it when he goes to his mom's house? Or to his friends' houses?

Yeah! They have their own apps and everything, if you Google there are step by step guides on how to access them outside the UK (VPN needed). :p

Yes he can watch from his phone, it just doesn't work on the TV or streaming boxes without the right IP and zipcode matching for the IP.

To be fair, they have increased their feature set over time - so it might not have when the commentor looked last.

It is very slow though, in general. Which is fine for some uses.

Many have apps. Some, including the two I mentioned, have series available on demand right on their website, but you have (to appear) to be in the UK to watch them. Connect via a UK VPN and you're in.

He would primarily use it from his desktop or laptop computers so the IP would vary based on location (though all locations are in the same zipcode).

Yes, clear cookies in your browser too, to be sure. But also, be nice on Reddit. Smilie
