Great VPN. They recently released a statement with screenshots from websites that rate VPNs for money, and basically said they are no longer playing that game. That they would rather invest that money in the platform (because some of the sites were complaining that they could not make enough commission based on their sale prices).

Take that with a grain of salt or not, but if you don't find them on the rating sites for "top VPNs of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc., I can tell you that it's not because they are not worth it.

Before the pandemic I would have to travel to about 9-12 countries per year, and Windscribe never let me down. Easy interface, quick and stable connection, and also no logs being kept.

I was lucky to get a lifetime a few years ago, and they have been getting better and better. Since that's not being offered anymore, this is a great deal imho.

Wish they had the lifetime plans available again

Windscribe has worked great for me when I was in China and in Russia.

Don't feel so bad, a lot of people here on Slickdeals believed the naysayers who freak out whenever something is lifetime "but it's the life of the company not you!" - it was still a great deal, and sad it's gone now. Windscribe actually did it the right way, sell a few lifetime unprofitable subs, get word of mouth, then sell only profitable subscriptions in the future. It just shows the company has a healthy business model.
It still happens and im quite surprised that SDers have that in their mindset, even if i get 6 mo of quality service from those deals it is a deal

Glad I helped this company in '17 with my lifetime sub($38), felt like I was involved in a crowdfunding of sorts. From the reviews here, it appears their confidence in their product has paid off.
Is that when windscribe formed, 2017?

I have a Verizon "life time plan" that I pay for monthly. I've since been told by Verizon that it's not the length of my life nor the company's life. It's the life of the plan which they can terminate whenever they feel like it. So, using the term "life time" was only a marketing tool to make buyers think they were getting a huge deal and that they had to jump on it before it became unavailable. Verizon no longer offers this plan for purchase but those of us who have it can continue to pay for it until Verizon decides to end it and to force us into a different plan.

I wonder do their government just need to block or track those IPs from windscribe to track your identity?

How is this vpn for torrenting? How are speeds? I had keepsolid/vpn unlimited before and it was horrendous.

Edit: speeds are fast. I ended up buying it cuz why not after all these rave reviews

I bought this when it was the lifetime deal and I really am happy with my purchase.

WARNING: After I bought my key through StackSocial, the next day someone used my StackSocial account (just made 1 day before) to buy a bunch of other keys. StackSocial immediately refunded me when I contacted them, but I would not save my credit card information on their site, and would suggest single use CC numbers if they are available to you.

I've had them for a couple years now and the service is phenomenal. I have literally had zero issues using windscribe. I am good now until 2031. That is how much I believe in their service.

I recommend Windscribe. Been using them since they offered the lifetime plan several years ago. No issues at all or performance issues.

It won't let me checkout. After I add the 3-year plan to my cart and try to check out with the promo code it says:
"Oops! Something went wrong Frown
Rest assured -- Our Team has been notified, and we'll have this fixed up in no time.
"
Tried several browsers on 2 different computers and using different browsers on Android... looks like they've done something to prevent my account from redeeming the code.
Are you on a VPN?

Are there any lifetime VPN plans worth paying for at this point? Not really versed on VPNs but lifetime plans sounds like a good investment.

It's decent, tier 2 vpn. I would recommend using tier 1 vpns though for cheaper prices and faster speeds. Google vpn tier list

Sorry for the ignorant question but can someone please explain why I would need a VPN blocker?
