Take that with a grain of salt or not, but if you don't find them on the rating sites for "top VPNs of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc., I can tell you that it's not because they are not worth it.
Before the pandemic I would have to travel to about 9-12 countries per year, and Windscribe never let me down. Easy interface, quick and stable connection, and also no logs being kept.
I was lucky to get a lifetime a few years ago, and they have been getting better and better. Since that's not being offered anymore, this is a great deal imho.
Windscribe has worked great for me when I was in China and in Russia.

Glad I helped this company in '17 with my lifetime sub($38), felt like I was involved in a crowdfunding of sorts. From the reviews here, it appears their confidence in their product has paid off.

Edit: speeds are fast. I ended up buying it cuz why not after all these rave reviews
WARNING: After I bought my key through StackSocial, the next day someone used my StackSocial account (just made 1 day before) to buy a bunch of other keys. StackSocial immediately refunded me when I contacted them, but I would not save my credit card information on their site, and would suggest single use CC numbers if they are available to you.
Tried several browsers on 2 different computers and using different browsers on Android... looks like they've done something to prevent my account from redeeming the code.
