My windscribe expired last month. Tried FasterVPN ($25 lifetime) but frequently can't connect to servers here in the USA. I might just go back to windscribe with this deal. Can I install on several devices?
You can. I have it on my PCs, my phones, and my Shield TVs.

Can someone help me understand how they work? I will be moving to the Caribbean in the fall of this year for two years, running this over there will let me login to my work account and I can show that I am in a state in the states?

First question: depends on how your work is configured. I can't access anything from my work account unless I use my work's VPN. This is not your work's VPN. Second question: yes, you can make it look like you're in the States or a bunch of other countries. There are lots of servers across the individual states and many countries have multiple servers.

Does the subscription start at day of purchase or can I wait 2 months to install and start it? My current subscription with another brand ends in 2 months.

read the stacksocial terms, when they email the code it says "Your codes must be redeemed within 30 days." this was years ago so I don't know if its still like that

I've been using IPVanish the last few years. Would this be an upgrade?

I login to work through Citrix. So I have to make sure if my Citrix site is blocked to be accessed other than US? How can I make sure of that? I saw I can use a proxy? So I tried googling and none of the proxies worked for me to check. Thanks for the response.

Says "We are currently acquiring your license for this product. Please check back soon." for like 2 hours. How long does it take?
Same message here. Purchased about 9 hours ago, still waiting. No pending charge on the CC either.

edit: charge came through and code is in the account. Took about 12 hours in total.

You're gonna want to talk with your IT. If they have their own VPN, that might be all you need to log in. I assume they know you're moving, so they should have a solution to allow you to work from wherever, but only they would know how everything is configured.

Yep a lot of us are on the same boat.. We had a choice 3 years ago, a Lifetime plan, or a 3 year plan, and the Cheap ones like myself are here today, 3 years later kicking ourselves, because our plans are about to expire, and we are ready to buy a more expensive 3 year plan.. Lesson learned, don't be cheap all the time.. At this point I'd spend well over $100 for a Windscribe Lifetime plan, it's worked that great for me the past 3 years.
I was in the same boat but was ready to try a new VPN after 3 years anyway. Windscribe was okay, but I didn't find its UI great for either phone or PC and it's server selection was less than ideal at times. When my subscription was up after 3 years, I was a little disappointed they didn't seem to care much to keep me by offering better deals.

So, I found a good one year deal for IPVanish and I've liked it better in just about every way so far. But, based on deals I was finding for VPN's these days, this new Windscribe deal for 3 years is good. I'd have stayed with them had they offered it to me to stay at the time.

Not in my opinion. I switched to IPVanish after 3 years of Windscribe and like IPVanish better.

According to their domain registration it was 2013-06-25, but that doesn't mean they didn't have a different name before then, or that they didn't register the domain in advance of operations.
Oh wow, i am basically trying to determine which lifetime VPNs to buy now, i only got into using them as of 2018 when i moved to Mexico

In late 2020 i tried surfshark, nordvpn, cyberghost and they all worked really bad for US netflix and im only in Tijuana so not too far, torguard did work but i wasnt a fan of support

I tried Keepsolid which worked really well for US streaming so i bought lifetime, they dont have servers for other countries though, windscribe i use CA and UK netflix

I tried Ivacy as they have UK but it didnt work well so i did not get lifetime

I asked about when WS formed cause im wondering if they sucked on release and then got better over time, so perhaps Ivacy or some of the other unlimited VPNs on stack social might get better too

Some time in 2016, I believe. They sold lifetime for a year or two (maybe longer?), then shut it off. They got it right and it seems they're doing well enough to keep growing. I've been very happy with them for the past four years.
I wasnt using VPNs then so i dont feel TOO BAD that i missed the deal lol cause i didnt know it existed
