A one-year subscription costs $99. The offer is to spend $99+ and get $99 back, so it's a free one-year subscription.

Get a one-time $99 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single subscription-based purchase of $99+ online at The Motley Fool or at fool.com/amex [fool.com] by 5/8/2021. See terms.

Quote :
Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. American Express Prepaid Cards, Corporate Cards and American Express Cards issued outside the United States are not eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid only on US website or at Fool.com/amex. Valid only on purchases made in US dollars. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member. The enrolled Card account must not be cancelled or past due to receive statement credit. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 5/8/2021, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. The Motley Fool Terms and Conditions currently provide that unless you notify The Motley Fool that you want to cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription or membership fee will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example, monthly, or annually). This means that The Motley Fool will collect the then-applicable membership or subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card The Motley Fool has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. Send an email to [email protected] after you have signed up requesting opt-out for the auto renewal. After I did that, they sent me an email that said: "we have disabled the auto-renewal feature"

If you search online - you will find 2-year packages to StockAdvisor or Rule-breakers for only $98 (one-year for $59)

Rule Breakers (1-Year) for $99:

TURN OFF AUTO-RENEWAL
All Motley Fool premium subscriptions are set to automatically renew for your convenience, and to ensure uninterrupted access to your premium service's investing guidance. If you would like to turn off the automatic renewal feature, we can assist.

[b]For those curious how Motley Fool's stock picks are performing I setup a pie (portfolio) on M1Finance with 41 of the most recent suggested stocks from Tom and David. As long as I see reps coming from this thread so I know people are still using it I will update this link every Thursday to show the new recommendations.
https://m1.finance/2M-jgR32cPTC [Final update was on 04/08 due to apparent lack of interest].
M1finance gives you free trades and fractional shares which means you can transfer xxx dollars a week or 2 weeks and it will adjust it based on your percentages.
Advantage of fractional shares is explained well here: https://www.fool.com/investing/ho...al-shares/

For the people complaining about to much spam before you go crazy and cancel your account, go into your account settings and uncheck what you don't want. I have everything unchecked but the buy/sell alerts in stock advisor. https://www.fool.com/account/comm...-settings/

I just signed up. The first thing they do is try to sell you upgraded services for anywhere from $200-$14,000. The "premium" service we get is nearly useless. The last stock picks article is from December 28.
Swagbucks has 7500SB for the $99 yearly subscription as well, should be stackable for a nice MM.
Market correction coming soon for GameStop.

Same here...Let's see what happens. I think we can still cancel for full refund for 30 days?
Yeah I might be looking into that refund if I don't see a credit.

Quote from Fanime :
AMEX doesn't always send notifications. I literally haven't gotten redemption emails for the last dozen deals I've redeemed. Still got credited.
That's true, a while ago I used to receive one every time I used an offer, but these days it's rare.

I did and almost all of their picks went up pretty well for me. That said, the market has been hot for years, so individual stock purchases in hot markets have done pretty well unanimously. How motley food's advice does when the market isn't hot would be more interesting to me as I have blindly picked individual stocks that I think are pretty good and they have done great as well. I think it's more an effect of a good market rather than good advice.
How's their take on disruptive tech*?
ARKK (Cathy Wood) made a killing.

*Every decade or so, there are disruptive companies
- AMAZON (eCommerce)
- APPLE (iphone)
- Netflix (streaming)
- TSLA (ev/battery tech)
- micron (SD card/chip storage)
- QualComm (RF tech: 3G; 4G; 5G; etc)
- etc.

Buying old companies will make money due to inflation (or go BK bc of lack of innovation [blockbusters, sears, kmart, etc]), but they are not 10-bangers.

I'll buy bc it is free. That's a -100% banger. Applause

IT IS NOT THE SAME THING!!! It is a totally different subscription, I called Motley Fool and confirmed with them.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS AS YOU MAY NOT EARN THE SWAGBUCKS as Swag is specific that it is tied to the STOCK ADVISOR sub to earn the points.
Oh crap. I think I messed up. Just sent them an email to cancel Rule Breaker so I can subscribe to Stock Advisor. But I think Amex will still be Ok for any Subscription.

The stock market is now just musical chairs. Everyone wins except for the last person out and the shorts who don't have enough capital to stay afloat. This kind of action we are seeing in first month of the year doesn't bode well for the later part of the year or next year.
Isn't this comment just a comment on life and investing?
Be it real estate or stocks or bonds or crypto or gold, isn't someone always trapped at some point holding the bag waiting or covering for a loss?
There are no guarantees in life expect great deals on SD.

Be that as it may on the stock market, guess what?
It will never go to $0. If it does, we have bigger problems globally.
401k, pensions, etc are all wrapped up in the market.
You think Bezos or Zuck or Gates have most of their worth in cash? Point being is that the wealthy are all invested and you better believe their cronies at the Fed will prop the market.
(There was a movie on this. On Lehman Bros collapse.
Who did they all call to help? Warren Buffet.)
If the market goes to $0, they'll be worthless, too.
If the market goes to $0, the dollar is worthless...Armageddon.

As for the rest of 2021, I bet it will be up or flat.
Too much money being printed to see a correction like March 2020.
That said, no one really knows for sure, so sell when you can and not when you have to.
And dollar cost average into your 401k as the indexes drop, not as they go up.

Went through Chase Freedom portal for 7500 UR. Sapphire portal was showing 6000 UR so YMMV.

Will post back with updates.

FYI - as soon as you get to the Motley page using the Chase portal, you'll see the $199 package. Use the links at the top and look for "Stock Advisor" which is $99.
Can you please share the links? I have been seeing $199 through chase portal. How are people able to use both offers?

Love the fool.com - have used their services for years and they consistently deliver. Like anything, doing your own research prior to buying is key, but the fool's process is sound and they do a good job of laying out why they recommend the stock. I don't read the emails, rather use the paid service portion of their site to review their recommendations. I am selective in what I pick, but I love that they keep an on going tally of what they recommend, when, and how it compares to investing in the s&p.
I also found the following site to be helpful.
14 free days, but 10 free analysis every x weeks. When you get to 10/10, it won't let you get more data (unless you use a different email address or subscribe) until it resets to 0/10.
simplywall.st

Their valuation is is based on intrinsic value which is discounted rate, earnings growth, and operating cash. I think it is similar to what Buffett uses.

Add that with TDA and Fidelity valuation and financial health research, and it is pretty good way of determining if a stock is of good value based on current price.

The offer on AMEX has a link as shown in the offer. Hopefully you get the $99, but if not you know why.

NOW? You must be new here. The only difference between the musical chairs now and before is before retail buyers couldn't hear the song.

The only surprise is it took this long to happen. More they buy, more MMs hedge delta; that combined with short squeeze is recipe for fireworks. 🚀

Not sure why we get so much advise for investment here.
Isn't we are in deal website , where "if you have offer in amex and it is free for one year" not for analyzing how to to get it for free when it is free for 1 year + extra bonuses from chase or etc website

I like the deal & I bought it for free for 1yr and looking for to maximize it thru slickdeals Smilie
