AFAIK these aren't co-op games.
They're mostly single player strategy RPGs with a linear story + a whole bunch of replayability through infinite dungeons, etc.
Think Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, etc.
I reviewed some of them when they released. NIS's style is usually self-aware humor, wacky, and sometime inappropriate.

Why is Trails of Cold Steel 1 barely ever on sale for cheap? Its not even in this sale and when it is on sale its still $20+. You'd think a 4 year old port of an 8 year old game would be cheaper by now.

I think its because the Disgaea 4 PC port is newer, came out in 2020. Disgaea 5 PC came out first in 2018.

disgaea series top to bottom is awesome. VERY similar to FFTactics or Tactics ogre.

Though less focus on position on the map and more focus on the leveling. I have Disgaea 6 preordered (US) and cant wait for it.

Disgaea very close to FFTA. They can be incredibly grindy.

Disgaea is a good choice. I played through the first two games on the PSP and really enjoyed them. I'm a huge fan of the series.

I also had Phantom Brave on PS2 when it first came out. I prefer Disgaea to it. It's good for the price.

The YS games are supposed to be really good but I haven't played since the SNES games.
