I was told by a Costco employee they get a good percentage of returns on Blentec, but very few returns of the Vitamix blenders.
This is a Ninja. Confused

What does that have to do with anything?

I just burned second unit of this, 1000 watt, exact same but slightly different model number bl610. It is powerful, and does a good job, but looks like the blade goes dull fast, and then you have to run it longer to get liquefied greens, especially kale, as opposed to chunky kale. The noise on these is that of roaring jet engine. I used pillow around it to to muffle the roaring deafening noise. And that may have prevented the heat escape, causing the motor overheating, and may have sped up its demise though. However, I used it everyday for couple years or so before it died.

Since it is so noisy, and then the blade goes full. Causing us to run it longer etc., I would just revert to HB, Oster blenders in $30, 40 range that do a good job with acceptable life for the price. I think I like Oster CS better, and would try Oster again. My last Oster I used was noisy but did a food job.

Blade does dull sooner then hoped but gets er done. Quite loud as well. That said, I'm contemplating biting at this low price

How good is it for dry grinding? I mean making flour and spice powder.

Costco reviews and stars show it's a good blender. What's bad about it?

I mainly use these for blending ice. I already had the regular $50 450 Watt ninja blender from Amazon with the bowls and smaller pitcher, and it worked great for ice. But someone took it.

Can anyone speak to whether this is better or I should just repurchase the same one for its flexibility?
