Costco accepts Discover online. You can use it to buy Costco Cash cards. Boom, easy $75 right there.
People are really undervaluing and failing to take advantage of Discover card benefits. These cards have no yearly fee and taking advantage of the 5% categories is pretty simple.
Even with the Amazon Visa 5%, the frequency of "pay with points" deals on Amazon is plentiful. You can use as little as one point to get $10,$20 or even $30 off certain purchases. This alone, justifies having this no fee card.
The 5% categories are excellent when they are for gas stations, ( IIRC, the best gas card only offers 4%), wholesale clubs, and streaming services. And even though I have the Amazon card, I will use the Discover card when the 5% category is Amazon, just to boost my points.
If you have the Amex Blue Cash Preferred, use it on all grocery stores (6%), streaming services (6%) prepaid toll replenishment (3%) and gas stations (3%), rotating in the 5% cards when they are for gas stations.
Same for Chase Freedom. This seems like a lot of work but it's really just building a habit that becomes second nature over time.
To make things easier, I use a label maker, and at the beginning of each year I put small labels on each 5% card, detailing the categories for each quarter. With the labels on cards you can't really go wrong.

Discover lost a huge chunk of my business when they got rid of Discover deals and gutted their benefits such as price protection, etc. Pre-COVID they were my go-to for deals on everything from cruises to shopping portal discounts, etc. I have so little spend with them now that I'd get rid of the card but it is one of my oldest and don't want the credit score drop. That reminds me -- not sure why I am even carrying this card in my wallet lol!

Ao what did you replace it with ? Thanks

I also created a table in Excel/Sheets with my credit cards as row headers, the cashback value % and quarter breakdowns. I print it out, fold it in half into a card shape, and "laminate it" with mailing tape to keep in my wallet with the credit cards to help me remember which card to use at checkout so I can maximize my CB. You just need to do this once a year - takes 5 minutes.

There is an app MaxRewards that does this for you once you link your cards to it... Used to be free... Recently they put up a Gold version that automates activating deals and offers like these.. I don't subscribe but find the card rewards summary view still pretty useful

I think I heard someone say that too. How is that different from cashing out rewards or use rewards point on Amazon?

I've never seen an Amazon deal whereby I can use my Amazon card points to save money. Can you give me an example? Where/how do I find them?
Sorry, I'm only just now seeing your question. I was talking about Discover cashback which is actually denoted in cash value when spending at Amazon. I apologize for the misleading statement.
The overall point remains the same though; You can spend .01 in discover cashback to get a pre-determined discount on your purchase. (When the deals are available) Those deals are without a doubt, the best possible return for your cash back credit.
Also, I should have stated previously, these deals are absolutely worthless if you carry a balance. In case it isn't clear to anyone who may be learning about credit cards, NEVER EVER carry a balance. If you can't pay your card in full each month, you aren't ready for credit cards.

If You can spend .01 in cashback rewards to get $10 or more off your purchase. That is MUCH better than spending it on your statement balance. It's simple math.

But what are you going to do with the rest of the $24.99 rewards? You still have to use it somewhere somehow ... None of the dollar-off-pay-with-point deals require paying in full with points, so as long as you don't exhaust all the points, it ends up the same regardless. No?

It's just trying to get the most value for your cash back. Using 1 penny for a $10 discount is easy math.
Sitting on the cash back and using it for the greatest value is the objective. There's nothing wrong with using it for your balance, but someone saying "Quote from BlownCamaro :
... Use your rewards to pay towards your balance only! "
Is completely wrong.
There is rarely one single rule that applies to all situations, especially with credit cards. If someone were to follow that bad advice, they may never get that $10 -$30 discount for just a few cents.

Does anyone else get the following error when trying to access the cashback calendar:

Oops. Something went wrong.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but the rewards calendar is not working at this time. Please check again later.

Go to Account Center

I've tried a bunch of times, even attempted to message but only got a bot, and I am unable to get to the calendar. Tried two different browsers as well.
Yes - I called them. It is because account is not enrolled for 5% Rewards scheme but enrolled in other rewards. (Mine was under 2% for gas and res + 1% for rest all ) . They enrolled me over phone for above 5% now. There is no fee associated to it. Well it will take effect starting your next billing cycle. After that you should be able to make choices on each quarter for these 5%. And once you make choice except for that category rest all will have 1%.

I have a note in my phone that's lists all my cards with bonuses and features like no foreign transaction fees.
Discover and chase freedom usually offset similar categories so having both really helps. My BoA card is setup for 3% online so anything that's not Amazon goes through that one.

I need to start keeping track of which has rental, price protection, and extended warranty since that seems to be on its way out.

I've also been doing the same since years with a note on phone & BoA CC set to online 👍👍👍

I do something similar. I tape a sticky note inside my wallet with the CB deals for discover and chase for the quarter.
That's what I do. And then I use the points/cashback against the balance which I pay in full every month. My favorites are gas and groceries.

Do the labels not give issue to stick the card in fully in certain chip machines?

Of course. Your membership isn't tied to any one credit card.
