I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

Wells Fargo Active Cash card has unlimited 2% cash rewards. Earn a $200 cash rewards bonus when you spend $1,000 in purchases in the first 3 months. Capital one is outshined in every way.
No Foreign Transaction Fees of Quicksilver is the only benefit that stands out if you do have frequent foreign transactions.
If that really is your salary why are you complaining over an entry level card? Get the Platinum/Gold card that way you don't have to lose sleep over a credit limit on your card, because there isn't one.
I have only had one Capital One card, the Sony card, and they were wonderful. I'm really sad that Comenity handles the Sony card now. They suck.
Same here.

Stay away from this card and especially Capital One. Very shady business. Have been with them for over 9 years. This card limit is stuck at $4750. I once did my tax returns with these guys and that was it. No increase and all denials for CLI requests in 6/12month increments. My annual salary is above 450K with a credit score of 819.
Same here. My limit has been stuck at $4500 for many years and just recently they sent me a letter that they will cancel the account if I don't use the card so I just used the card to keep it open because its one of my oldest and sometimes I use it overseas. That's about it. I guess this card is worth for the bonus IMO.
I just got the $200 bonus on the Capitol One Savor One card and I didn't know what to buy, then it occurred to me what if I bought something that's also an investment. Well I bought 5 grams of gold bullion from Ebay and it still counted as "merchandise" on the promotion. Just an idea for anyone not knowing what to buy.

This is all true but people with a lower average credit rating who DONT have lots of open cards can get this one easier. CapOne tends to cater to low to mid tier credit where as WF is moving to mid to high tier (chase and amex are mostly high tier). Citi is mid to high.
805 credit cards and currently sitting on 4 cards with 15-20K in line of credit and I still got denied. The last denial letter was "applied to too many credit cards in XX months". This is such BS. A wasted credit pull. Why is this offer even being promoted on SD if CO are such sticklers for their CC offers. I feel completely bamboozled.

Once we get over the Covid stuff. I will go to a Capital One Cafe and I will read some of these sad stories of rejection and outright denial.
Hmm, 800+ credit score and they approved me... for $1000?!?! Lowest limit I've had on a credit card in a long time. I guess I'll probably use this one enough to collect the bonus, then throw it in a drawer and use it once annually just to keep it active.
hahaha I was less then perfect credit when penfed.org gave me 10k credit.. and I had 730 CO gave me $500 limits.. Dafug

Snail mail offer for this card and bonus. Is that guaranteed approval?

Just go to the website and look at pre-approval. They do a soft check and confirm if you are indeed pre-approved. Helps to know before applying!
