I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.

I've just received their $200 sign up bonus and noticed theres another CapitalOne card called SavorOne with the same $200 bonus after $500 spend. Would I qualify for the $200 sign up bonus on the SavorOne card if I just received the bonus on this CapitalOne Quicksilver card?

I see a lot of people complaining about how they have a high credit score but are getting turned down.. They go by more than just your credit score.. income to debt ratio.. income... spending habits.. how much you carry on a credit card from month to month... there's a lot more that goes into it.. Certain cards are only a certain range .. and aren't low limit cards .. etc

Another thing if you have three credit cards with 10,000 limits.. that counts as you have 30,000 debt when applying for credit because at any point and time that money is readily available for you to spend.. so no I wouldn't apply for multiples of their cards just to get each of these little $200 incentives

I'm pretty sure it has more to do with Capital One's automated system flagging them as high risk for credit card churning than anything thing else.

Don't have to wait 90 days -- forgot exactly but either it gets added to your rewards balance once you hit min spend or might be when that statement generates

For me, the $200 reward posted quickly. I can't see far enough back in my earn history to tell precisely how quickly, but I want to say it posted within just a few days, perhaps less, of satisfying the spend requirement, which I did with my first purchase. I was also able to use the card pretty much as soon as I signed up, or was approved. I didn't have to wait for receipt of the card, which was nice. I got this card back towards the end of July via a pre-approved offer, which might change some things.

In case anyone isn't aware, the Capital One Quicksilver card includes the Eno feature, which among other things lets you create multiple virtual credit card numbers for online shopping. (It's similar to the Shop Safe feature that Bank of America cards used to have, but BoA sadly discontinued.) This is the main reason that I signed up for it.

While it comes quickly, it will just remain in your accrued rewards until you actually go into the account and redeem it towards your balance.
