2 Year Limited Warranty. And no, you shouldn't need to replace the bulb.

Also typically you want to avoid keystone adjustment. Instead this has a motorized horizontal/vertical lens shift, so keystone generally shouldn't be required as long as you can get the projector perfectly perpendicular to your screen.

Screen material and size is something you'll want to research a bit more. Budget screens can be purchased through amazon, and basically the size of the screen is determined by how much your throw distance to the screen is in addition to internal zoom. There are some calculators that can tell you the range of sizes you can get, given a throw distance and model number.

Never buy HT equipment until the space is ready and you're able to install item immediately. Never know what plans will change or get delayed. Not worth it.

I got REALLY lucky with a dealer that had one barely used demo unit. So I'll get full warranty, with a bulb that isn't even broken in. The JVCs are all back-ordered so one would have to wait 4-8 weeks most likely with no "definite" arrival date. This is one of the main reasons I was considering 5040/5050, as a stop gap until next gen JVCs are announced, but.... I ended up having a really nice day today haha.

I'd been checking daily too. Ironically I pulled the trigger on a different PJ just an hour or so before I noticed it coming in stock - I was closing down all my PJ threads and there it was haha.

What's the warranty on this bad boy? Is it a good idea to replace the lamp asap on the refurb? Does it have keystone adjustment? What screen material/size would you suggest for the projector screen?

Thanks! Just pulled the trigger. Had my eyes on this bad boy for a while now.
This will go perfectly in my soon to be completed new home theater.
Only thing is I won't need it for another 2-3 months.
Hopefully, no issues pop up between now and then that require a return.

The good thing about buying from Epson directly, you get the full 2 years like new.

Only difference from new is no returns

Uhd30 is a good one. I was debating between uhd50x and benq ht3550. Went with benq for greater color accuracy.

Just pulled trigger on first ever projector. Those of you who are more experienced, can you please chime in what kind of screen and resource to learn how to mount it.

Thank you

One of the big features for the epson will be the vertical and horizontal lens shift which makes your mounting options a bit easier. That was a big requirement for me for other reasons, so it eliminated a bunch of the cheaper options. I feel fairly confident that the epson will have a better picture, but haven't researched the optoma much myself. Optoma might have a better gaming mode if the specs are to be believed, but epson generally have really solid response time for gaming too.
