I really want to love Alienware. Good support and a decent product. But, after purchasing an Aurora last year, I won't be buying them again.
The cases are "cool" and all. But, when I cant stick a 11" video card (2080) in even that case...you can forget this product. Upgrades are part of PC evolution and lengthen the life expectancy. I want to be able to upgrade to anything.

I'll stick with full size cases thanks.

Id say this is a good deal for people who need a computer right now. But for people who want something that can be upgraded and not have to deal with dell support and proprietary things I recommend waiting for graphic cards to come back in stock.

Under full load the CPU needs 150 and the GPU needs 208. Plenty of room to spare.

Last night I saw many 3070s drop on Amazon. They were $650. I wasnt able to click fast enough to purchase any of them..they all errored out. If you price out the parts and assume they're all top brands then $1,500 is a good deal. It's about what you'd spend building it yourself. Obviously I wouldn't expect all the parts to be top brands, but for the average person this is a fair buy.

I got an AURORA R7 with 8700K in the past and was a little annoyed that Dell didn't update the BIOS to allow for a 9th gen CPU.. So i'm not sure if it's been determined if these will be upgradable to the new AMD CPU's.

Also, if you care about what the GPU looks like, it is a green PCB and appears to be a reference generic look.

If I was in the market for a complete CPU, I would hop on this deal. It looks like a really bad time to be building a PC Frown

I wouldn't buy this system with the intention to upgrade. You can't be sure the board would run faster ram and the gains (if any) would be small.

I also wouldnt worry about any bottlenecks here...if thats a worry for you then build a pc. Honestly, don't worry about it.

If you're buying a system for benchmark competitions then you want to build one.

You're asking about very small gains..0-10fps at best. Im sure some one will disagree, but some people do obsess over a few fps.
