I thought it was a great deal until i found out that most of the parts are proprietary. Correct me if i'm wrong but even the GPU is their own custom GPU which means you can't just replace it with a full size 4070/5070 next time. There's also people complaining of thermal issues. That being said, ts a fantastic price @ $1199 for a 3070 but be aware of the limitations.
Considering the street value of even a used 3070 is north of $800 right now, this should sell out in all of about 6 seconds.
7 replacements? Your persistence is commendable.

Does anybody know if the chat order will trigger the AmEx offer (10% OFF)?
AmEx offer page says it's only valid for online and phone orders only, which I'm not sure what the difference would be between chat and phone as both are manual orders.
Yes it will. Sign up before on American Express.

Make sure to keep in mind this will probably be some garbage blower card. Be ready to put some high end thermal paste on it.

4 types of gpus IMO, blower cards, multi fans on top, sealed AIO water cooled, and custom water blocks.

The RTX 3090/3080 (not sure about 3070) are MSI with top fans.(My RTX 3080 have dual fans ). No issues with heat whatsoever (~55C under full load) I replaced the the push fan under the CPU LC radiator with Corsair push and pull fans to help with the CPU temps (which were good but I wanted to stay below 80C when overclocked to 5.10GHZ and running at full load. Thats for the i7-10700K.)

I apologize if this is a dumb question. I have very little experience with pre builds and less with custom made parts.
When people are saying it's not upgradable they're referring to the case right? What would stop you from putting the parts in another case and upgrading later?
If someone could explain I'd appreciate it so I know going forward. Thank you
I can't believe the FUD in this post. Dell and Alienware are a very reputable brand and is well known for providing the highest quality product with the best customer service.

If you want to do an upgrade you'll need a new motherboard, case, and power supply.

It's not necessary to upgrade if you are in the market for a computer this is an AMAZING buy but it's going to sell out very quickly. Resale value is $1500 at least.

It *might* come already configured with liquid cooling (YMMV). If not the air cooler doesn't perform well and may reach excessive temperatures (also YMMV). https://www.overclock.net/threads...t.1773527/ https://www.dell.com/community/Al...-p/7531498

... I'm tempted to up the memory over 3000ghz, that worth it?
Also not sure if the 3200 for $50 is worth it. Someone on the other thread mentioned a specific RAM that works well though apparently there's an AMD version that is supposed to be a little better https://www.dell.com/community/Al...-p/7534537, though I see ~$190 for 2x16GB for Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro AMD CL 16-18-18-36 CMW32GX4M2Z3200C16. Probably other cheaper DDR4 RAM will also work fine, I think I recall reading someone mention $125 for 2x16. Maybe upgrade to 16 3200 now and then add another 32 later? Any thoughts from someone with more experience?

So, I just chatted and they offered $1229 + $50. I went ahead and proceeded. Did I mess it up?
Not sure if it's worth paying extra $80 to get the liquid cooling when the pc actually will be on sale for $1199 tomorrow (that's if I can get it.)

For peace of mind that you got one and with liquid cooling CPU, I think it is worth it. You could always try to get the basic model tomorrow and then cancel the one today.

With as many they have sold early, I wonder how many they will have tomorrow anyway
