I thought it was a great deal until i found out that most of the parts are proprietary. Correct me if i'm wrong but even the GPU is their own custom GPU which means you can't just replace it with a full size 4070/5070 next time. There's also people complaining of thermal issues. That being said, ts a fantastic price @ $1199 for a 3070 but be aware of the limitations.

Considering the street value of even a used 3070 is north of $800 right now, this should sell out in all of about 6 seconds.

Hey so the description of this post says it has proprietary ram but the website says it uses Hyper X Fury. Would a 16GB hyperx fury kit from amazon not work for it to upgrade to 32?
Hey, just read the wiki. If you did, you'd notice there was a link to user quantecipher's post on the matter, which talks about how it's proprietary and you can't mix or match. The Dell memory is "Hyper X", but it's special to Dell. XMP profiles won't match up afaik. And even when you buy retail the system can be picky on what model memory it wants to use, so there's a list that Dell has supposedly tested (in a forum thread on the Dell community) as well as models that users have tested.

So, I did a chat on Tuesday afternoon asking for the deal with the liquid cooled cpu and the WiFi 6, I provided a link to the door buster, and the rep said "We are waiting for an approval on it, is it ok if I email you and follow up?". I agreed, and heard nothing back, so I emailed the rep directly this morning, referencing the incident number and sent the link to the door buster again, just to be 100% clear. I just got back a response "we only have this deal currently..." with a link to the same door buster that I had sent him twice, and the disclaimer that it starts at 4PM. Congrats to those who got it early (and with ups grades), I guess I will be trying my luck in a couple of hours.

Keep getting different agents until you get someone who can actually customize.
Liquid cooler is out of stock though.

I bought the base for 1299, was told no upgrades
I called (about 10 minutes prior to this post) the modification number at 1 800 247 2076
I was able to upgrade Liquid CPU cooler, 3400 RAM, dual Storage, and Wifi 6

Thank's everyone for all the tips. Got in, chatted with rep asking for this deal, Wifi 6 and Liquid cooling. It did take a while for him to prepare the quote and everything. But then there was a pause for a few minutes and he told me they were no longer allowed to do parts upgrades. Some kind of notice to the entire team.

I told him the base station was fine and got it at 1229 like everyone else. I had no Chase or Amex offers unfortunately.
Were you able to get the liquid cooling?
Wish I ordered yesteday!

I did this too and it worked, except I didn't get it for free - $50 extra.

For people who are unable to get liquid cooling and want it, place the order, then call the order modification number: 1-800-247-2076

In my case, the support person said he had to cancel the original order and re-order with the modification adding the liquid cooling for $50 extra.
They had to cancel my ordinal order but they did keep same shipping date and tossed in the liquid cooling for free. I don't know how to post pics on here so here's a copy and past

Currently have Dell XPS 8700 (9 years old) i7-4770 with 3060 ti

Not sure if I should sell this 3070 and replace with 3060 ti or sell the 3060 ti and XPS 8700 with 970
i7-4770 is still capable of playing any game out now, since it has hyperthreading.

I had it at $1249, rep was setting up the invoice, and then said sorry it's $1269? anyone else run into that?
What included? For me it was $1229 for me base. With liquid cooling and WiFi killer that bumped it to $1299

Would it be a good idea to get the deal at 1200 at 4pm, then contact the sales rep to add the liquid cool and wifi after the purchase?

Good luck finding a GPU. I'm assuming that's why 95% of us are here lol.
