I thought it was a great deal until i found out that most of the parts are proprietary. Correct me if i'm wrong but even the GPU is their own custom GPU which means you can't just replace it with a full size 4070/5070 next time. There's also people complaining of thermal issues. That being said, ts a fantastic price @ $1199 for a 3070 but be aware of the limitations.

Considering the street value of even a used 3070 is north of $800 right now, this should sell out in all of about 6 seconds.

i7-4770 is still capable of playing any game out now, since it has hyperthreading.
I can get 60 fps+ playing cyberpunk at ultra and RT with 3060 ti

So I'm kind of futureproofing with this purchase for the next 8-10 years

Would it be a good idea to get the deal at 1200 at 4pm, then contact the sales rep to add the liquid cool and wifi after the purchase?
You are only saving $30 if you can get it at 4pm. To be safe, I think you should order it now through chat and try your luck at 4pm.

Has anyone rec'd the order confirmation from Dell? I purchased through chat, was provided an order # that doesn't pull any status. Purchase history Simply says rec'd With a purchase ID assigned. Thanks!
Received email almost immediately. Order wouldn't display status at first (not found), and purchase history matched your experience at first.

I bought the base for 1299, was told no upgrades
I called (about 10 minutes prior to this post) the modification number at 1 800 247 2076
I was able to upgrade Liquid CPU cooler, 3400 RAM, dual Storage, and Wifi 6
Thanks! I can also confirm that calling the order modification line for upgrades after your order the base works!

Was able to add liquid cooling after ordering the base. This was 5 minutes ago. They will cancel your original order and replace it with the modified one, make sure to pay attention to the totals they give you, originally she forgot to apply the doorbuster discount.

If you call 1-800-247-2076 they will do the upgrades. I ordered the base and upgraded via phone with zero issues.

I paid the $30 extra and ordered over the phone. They're not doing any modifications at this point. After a very long hold, they told me they couldn't add the liquid cooling ($50), killer wifi ($20) or Lunar Light chassis ($30). Bummer, but on the bright side they saved me $100 and a longer wait - delivery is projected on or before Feb 25.
