I thought it was a great deal until i found out that most of the parts are proprietary. Correct me if i'm wrong but even the GPU is their own custom GPU which means you can't just replace it with a full size 4070/5070 next time. There's also people complaining of thermal issues. That being said, ts a fantastic price @ $1199 for a 3070 but be aware of the limitations.

Considering the street value of even a used 3070 is north of $800 right now, this should sell out in all of about 6 seconds.

When you buy from Dell, are you buying as a Personal or Business customer? I thought I remembered someone in another thread saying that may affect it.
Personal. I've just become worried because dell Alienware make their own parts. My daughters cyberpower came with a evga rtx 3060ti and a intel i7 10700f if the Alienware with rtx 3070 bench marks less that thing going back 😳

What was your estimated delivery date? Did you do make any modifications (i.e. CPU liquid cooler, wifi, etc.)?

My expected deliver date is 2/19 because I did order modification and got the liquid cooler tossed in for free.

I didn't actively make modifications, but they included the liquid cooler on their own for $1230. In the e-mail they sent, it is scheduled to arrive on 2/23, but website still says 2/18-2/23.

Anyone know what Network Interface Card these come with?

I have 2Gb fiber and want to make sure I can maximize my bandwidth.

Anyone have a recommendation for a NIC that will support my internet speed?
The Ethernet connection is 1000 mbs. I think this is kind of a red herring of an issue. I assume you're not mistaken and the speed of your Internet connection is 2000 mbs, to saturate it you'd need 2000 Mbs all the way through to your pc. That means the modem to pc connection would need to be either dual 1000 mbs connections in a 802.3ad link aggregation or a single 2.5 gbs network port or a 10 gbs sfp+ port... then you'd again have to follow that speed through all the ports and all the switches all the way back to this desktop. If that is indeed what you have then I recommend you just buy an additional 1000mbs nic card (or maybe a dual port or a quad port) for $8 and put it in a pci slot of the motherboard of this computer and again form yet another 802.3ad aggregate to get the throughput you "require"

I ordered the 9th. No mods from the $1229 config they gave me. Mine says it includes the 550w with liquid cooling.

That's good news! So that mean it will arrive earlier than the ship date they gave us.
