Moreover, QuickSync doesn't "help" with encoding, it supersedes any other encoding hardware available. You either use QuickSync or you use the GPU encoding. There's no in between.
Benchmarks have concluded that while QuickSync is potentially faster than GPU encoding, it's faster because the resulting video quality isn't as good.
This is fine for the YouTube content creator working on a midrange laptop that doesn't have a discrete GPU, but not practical or realistic for anyone doing production level work, especially when After Effects will probably be involved and require the GPU anyway.
However, I will say that QuickSync is great if you need a budget build Plex server that can do transcoding.
Yes, if you have your own gpu, why do you need the gpu in the chip. That is because you can actually use both with windows configuration.
Quicksync helps with encoding.

Does quick-sync make a really big big difference for steaming and video editing which is what I plan to do but the gpu I have is a 1080ti and I wanted to pair it with this cpu because at micro center it's about $20-$30 cheaper than the i5-10400 also I plan to upgrade within a year to a i9-10900k so I mean if it doesn't make a big big difference I can use this cpu until I upgrade

What a huge generalization. Not everyone encodes video, first off. EDIT: And in a later reply, you seem to have conflated encoding with transcoding.

No, F is to pay respects.
I just received my 10600kf which I had ordered from staples a few days back. It came in a tray (very well packed in multiple layers of boxes but not in the blue intel box).
Does anyone know what's the difference between tray vs box CPUs?
