When you get to the end of your 6 months, you can manually renew a day early to roll your unused data. You don't want to do it during the 6 month plan because it will mess up the StackSocial plan. And when manually renewing, you can pay for your 7th month using Tello Dollars earned when you created your account. You can also downgrade to a lower level plan if you don't want unlimited talk and text.
If you have to order the SIM (which will initially show up as $9.99, but end up as free in the last step), you cannot order the port at the time you set up the Tello account. After the SIM card arrives, you follow Tello's prompts to activate. Then, you can click on "Port In" and bring in your existing line.

Sprint wireless was run into the ground by a moron whereas T-Mobile had decent leadership. The new combination of the two is working well so far.
When you get to the end of your 6 months, you can manually renew a day early to roll your unused data. You don't want to do it during the 6 month plan because it will mess up the StackSocial plan. And when manually renewing, you can pay for your 7th month using Tello Dollars earned when you created your account. Then enter your current IMEI (or a different IMEI if you plan to use a different phone).
Select "No, I need one - $9.99" when the page asks you if you have a SIM.
Then click on continue, which will take you to the checkout page where you can finalize the order. The $9.99 will come off on the final page. It defaulted to a paid shipping option, but I was able to change to free shipping.
NOTE: rolling will not work with the StackSocial plan until the final month because any changes will remove the offer.
