Tello is slowly migrating people to T-mobile, so you are still on Sprint until you request the new SIM card (which is free to existing customers). Sprint service had become unusable for us, so we switched to T-mobile as soon as it was available.

When you get to the end of your 6 months, you can manually renew a day early to roll your unused data. You don't want to do it during the 6 month plan because it will mess up the StackSocial plan. And when manually renewing, you can pay for your 7th month using Tello Dollars earned when you created your account. You can also downgrade to a lower level plan if you don't want unlimited talk and text.

If you already have a GSM SIM, you can port immediately when setting up your Tello account.

If you have to order the SIM (which will initially show up as $9.99, but end up as free in the last step), you cannot order the port at the time you set up the Tello account. After the SIM card arrives, you follow Tello's prompts to activate. Then, you can click on "Port In" and bring in your existing line.

This is great. I ordered the stacksocial deal and when that's done I'll probably switch to the 1GB plan. Honeslty I'm on wifi so often that most months I can get by using like 300MB of data or less. if I can be careful to renew one day early every time, could end up banking like 5+Gb of data for the times I do travel a couple times a year (pre-pandemic, anyway)

Yes I can confirm, it's waved automatically and they ship a SIM in the mail takes about 4-5 days .

Do not manually renew during the StackSocial plan because that will remove the promotion from your account. You can renew early for the 7th month and roll any of your unused data from the 6th month. You can also use Tello Dollars for the 7th month if you do the 1GB plan, so you can actually get 7 months of service for the $37.24.

1 Can this offer be combined with Tello referral program? i.e. each party gets $10 Tello dollars?

2 I used Tello before but I transferred my number elsewhere. So I am an account with just an email address at Tello with no phone numbers associated to it. Can I use this email account with this offer, or I have to create another account?

2. Edit: sounds like you can use it on an existing account as long as you apply the code to a new line.

you will need to port in.

For the first question : Refer-a-Friend credits for referee will appear in your account 30 days after your first purchase of $10 or more. All Insider Rewards & Refer-A-Friend credits expire 3 months from the date that your credits were issued.
