Not the cheapest for an iPhone SE prepaid, but if you have Verizon Prepaid, better than paying full price of $399 on Verizon's website.

I needed to replace my first gen Verizon prepaid iPhone SE. The iPhone SE 2020 showed no search results from the Walmart main page - maybe because it is oos online. I found the SKU from an expired SD deal and searched the SKU on Brickseek. It showed stock at a couple of stores and I had to drive over 20 miles to buy one. It was the price as listed on Brickseek, $249

When I activated the phone at Verizon, Verizon lowered my plan to $25 per month for service and 5GB of data. The $25 per month rate is after the 10 month loyalty discount and autopay. For what its worth, you still get 1 year free of Apple TV+ from Apple.

Not bad if you're already VZ pp and at $25/mo. One could easily go to Visible for the SE2 ($384 less $150 gc after 2 mos) and also $25/mo on party pay.

Would it be possible to activate this on a VZW postpaid line? Dad is looking for a new phone.

You would be able to activate it on Postpaid, but the language isn't clear whether you need to have prepaid service active for 60 days in order to unlock it or just any service. Either way, the phone should work on postpaid just fine.

I went ahead and grabbed this last week. The next day I entered the SIM from Verizon and registered it but never added a plan. I then used the $1.79 unlock service from eBay. It unlocked the phone the next day and I ported over to Visible as an unlocked phone. They have a $100 port in MasterCard and it's only $25 on the party plan. Excellent deal for me.

Isn't everything GSM nowadays? So basically works on any carrier that offers VoLTE?

What unlock service did you use from Ebay?

Humm, don't think so. My Verizon 6S bought new last year had to wait for two payments (prepaid) for it to unlock. I did try a att mvno and t-mo and no go.

The SE2 is perfect phone for the price as long as you plan for the battery life.
