Was looking for some filler to clear the $25 hurdle for free shipping on Amazon and stumbled across this of all things. In local grocery stores 6-oz cans of french onions usually go for $2+ so if you're REALLY fond of using them on things it might be worth grabbing this (Camelcamelcamel is also reporting that this is the lowest price it's ever been, so there's that).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

These last good after opening. They benefit from a Short, low temp warming in a toaster oven, but be careful they burn real easily! Maybe 2 minutes at 275 degrees.

Best topping ever on Mac n' Cheese! Great on ramen and all soups and salads.
Same $.28/oz at sams

How do these store after opening? I would enjoy cooking with these, but I suspect it would take me 2-3 months to use up the bag after opening. And does it require refrigeration after opening? Got to preserve my valuable refrigerator real estate...

Yeah, they last a long time. Put these on subscribe and save at one point and needless to say ended up with too much. Haven't tossed any yet because they are fresh for months after opening. I mostly use them on salads.

Instead of using the the recipe value for bread crumbs in meatballs, split the value w these. You need to break them up in a ziploc bag first. Trust me... it works.

These are reclosable so just store at room temp, like in your pantry or wherever you store dried/canned foods.

You can put it on burgers, use as toppings for curry, eggs, for whenever you need texture in your food.

These are violently salty.

I far prefer the Fresh Gourmet Crispy Onions, 24 Ounce. They are out of stock at Amazon right now, but usually $4.99. Also available at Costco.

Best to consume them all within a month of opening. Starts to get stale.

Everyone has different tastes but I disagree. I love these things. However, a year or two ago they did have a batch that was insanely salty -- I bought two bags at BJs warehouse store and both were inedible plain (I crushed them and used them as breadcrumbs) . However, that was an aberration. (fwiw, I've also bought a bag that was under salted once.) Usually I think these are great.

These are great empty calories: use them on burgers, salads, soups, in replacement of breadcrumbs (if you smash them), on mac and cheese or mashed potatoes...

Also, they make a jalopeno version of these. Those are even better.
