Similarly, my son told me that the COVID vaccine has a microchip in it so the government will be able to track us and control our brains even more than they already do. Not going to do that one either. Whew.

For Euro car owners, Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5w40 is rebranded Shell Helix from overseas, top quality, and PP Euro since it can only be found in 1qt sizes is by default $9.99/qt.
Also the filter for certain Euro cars can be upwards of ~$30 alone. (If you want an OE, or OE manufactured filter.
So for $33.99 out the door at advanced auto you can get 5qts of Pennzoil Platinum of any variety and sku, plus a Purolator Boss filter. Purolator owns Mann+Hummel which is the OE manufacture of most filters for Euro cars. Their Boss line is the highest quality filter line and for euro cars are repacked OE filters from Germany.
In my cars case, the filter on it's on sells for $20.99.
So I always get in on the $33.99 deal at AAP because it saves significant money for my situation. And then stack it with the Shell rebate promos when available.
For a true "Deal" there is a group of people who buy an Oil Change Kit (Filter + Oil) from FCPEuro one time, and just drain in back into the original bottle at the end of its service life, collect the filter, and send it in for a "Free Warranty Exchange" and FCP Allows this in their terms.
Also though, why I'm leery when buying used vehicles, because I do not know the history or what fluids or what interval.

A 93 Bronco with a 351W and 150k that had an idle knock (which 20w50 helped) but it had that same knock for the 20K miles we had it and then sold. Can't say it was an oil choice or change issue though but I've had 302/351 with many more miles without knocking so...
Another was a 98 Prism/Corolla with a 1.8L that burned about 1qt every 800 miles. Read about that and was a known issue for those engines regardless of oil and change history. Only risk was running dry regardless of what you ended up putting in it and to be honest using feed and bleed you'd probably never have to change the oil.
The third was an Elantra that catastrophically lost the front main seal. It was fixed under warranty but again, not an oil issue itself.
I've had numerous transmission issues, overcome by rust, general overall not worth fixing but runs and moves, internal issues like connecting rod failures, computer failure, timing chain/belts etc and the most common one is cooling/head gaskets/overheating and all that goes along with that. In my experience those issues happen exponentially more often than the oil. I'd buy a car in great condition with a blown engine long before I'd buy a car in terrible shape with a great engine unless I'm just looking for an engine

Also, when I go to the status page, it doesn't find anything when I enter my info. Did others' submission appear in the status right away?
Can anyone comment on either confirmation emails or the status check?
Thanks.

Why would anyone shop at ACE? Everything in that store is more expensive than it's competitors. It's almost a bogo deal, which isn't bad because my Expedition takes 6 quarts. Thanks OP.
