looks like the "Superspeed USB Type-C port" for HP is a 10gbps port with Displayport 1.4. the product page [hp.com] for this laptop doesn't show the specs (there's an error in the connectivity field). but this product page [hp.com] for a different Pavilion details what the Superspeed port is.

The Lenovo product page [lenovo.com] shows that its a USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 port (which is 5gbps) with Displayport 1.2.

EDIT: It seems the intel version has Displayport 1.4 in the HP, but the Ryzen version is Displayport 1.2...but both are still 10gbps ports.

youre right about the price. based on comments in the below post, this configuration was $550 back in November from HP and 3 year full warranty was only $59 extra.

Not that THIS Intel isn't faster, but a direct GHz to GHz comparison between Intel and AMD is not an accurate way to tell which is faster. People have been mistakenly doing this since before AMD Athlon 64 processors.

For us and we have owned many, besides individual specs, the HP and specifically the screens and keyboards have been junk while Lenova has held up well. For processors, the Intel is fine in conditioned areas, but for on job sites and such with CAD programs, the AMD have been superior with handling excess heat. I am thinking a Lenova deal with similar specs as this HP with a decent graphic card that we may already have.
