I would not suggest buying this model.
Sorry mate for being harsh on this model:
I returned it back to HP few days back. I bought it during thanksgiving sale at $499+taxes.
Laptop was delivered in January and had repeated issues since than. See my observations and issues found during first few weeks of uses:

Build quality is poor, when you move taking this laptop in hand you can feel it's soft material build.
WiFi connections lost randomly had to shake it and reboot to try again.
Middle of the work started making loud noise with many random dots on the screen and finally gave blue screen.
Mouse and touch don't work consistently. Small move can freeze the screen, mouse and touch capabilities.

Good specs, but I don't trust HP quality.

I'll vouch for you, your version is 55 dollars less than the current front page deal

Right here: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=145250908&postcount=1

I added coupon code and price in OP, and replied the thread again. but can't update the fp post or title. Hard for people to notice though.

I have the 10th gen Intel version and I can attest that WiFi often doesn't connect after resuming from sleep. It sucks.

Most of the Wi-Fi related problems you guys are reporting, are common with the Realtek Wi-Fi 5 card which is the base option for most of the HP Budget Lineups. This model has the upgrade option to Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 card for free which is also mentioned. As per my knowledge, those Wi-Fi problems are not an issue with Intel AX200/201 cards.

Did you make sure to update all the drivers?

Probably right. Is there an easy way to swap out the Wi-Fi card in these laptops after purchase?

Extremely yes on this laptop, like an M.2 SSD replace. the M.2 2230 Network card is socketed here. You need to remove the antenna cables first, remove the card and add the new new M.2 2230 Wi-Fi 6 card and attach the two antenna cables to the new card.

For this specific model, read the steps. It is already coming with Wi-Fi 6.

It's a pretty easy fix- just order a replacement AX200/201 card from Amazon and carefully reconnect the antenna wires with tweezers to position correctly

Like Lenovo, HP takes a few good components, mixes them with lower grade components, and then crams them all into a terribly designed chassis.

Having spent well near a million dollars on both HP and Lenovo, I will never consider those two again. All my orders are now Dell when it comes to PC. The precision line line particular is very well designed, and the 11th gen intel chips are a long time coming.

They wanted a MONTH to deliver this to me for my straightforward configuration.
