I've been waiting for Costco to bring this back, but it looks like it's not going to happen anytime soon, so I ended up pulling the trigger on the Winix website directly. Enter coupon EASYBREATHING during checkout for 20% OFF

Features

3-Stage True HEPA Air Purifier with PlasmaWave® Technology

Room Size 360 Sq. Ft.: AHAM Verified for 5 clean air changes per hour in 360 sq. ft. room. Suitable for medium to large size living spaces

The plasmawave feature is a joke. My nephew spilled hot chocolate into mine and their "plasmawave technology" is actually two tiny paintbrush tips covered in carbon. Besides that, these are great air purifiers. Also very easy to disassemble down to the fan motor! If you want to give yours a deep cleaning and oil up the fan or fix a broken component, these winix air purifiers are easy to open up. The motherboards disconnect like car or computer components. Many screws, but they're all phillips and shaped the same.

Thank you for confirming this. I like to disassemble stuff (I "deep clean" my dryer every two years, to give you an idea of my level of OCD haha) and I had read that these units were easy to take care of.

These work extremely well for anyone on the fence. It's surprising how much dust gets caught by my machines I got from costco. I am on track to replace the filters more than what's estimated due to how well it works. Maybe works too well.

How is this different from the Costco model? I think theirs is a 545 indicating 4 stages of filtration, but I see all the same tech and stages on this model.

How do the brushes work when plasmawave is turned on? I hate turning it off manually every time it restarts. Looking for a permanent method of disabling it.

Costco has the 545 with two years of filters for $130. Is that the deal some have been waiting for?

The 545 seems to have problems with its wifi, according to many reviews both on Amazon and Costco. Also, filters are harder to find and cost more.

I've had absolutely no issues with the WiFi on my c545 and it set up easily. I'm seeing aftermarket filters for ~$25 and Winix OEM filters for ~$45. I was hoping for the $99 deal for the c545, but don't think it's happening.

I thought the activated carbon pre-filter was just a marketing gimmick. I'm surprised how much of a difference it makes to the smell of the room. It makes the room smell clean. It makes me want to spend the money to get activated carbon house furnace filters.

Anyone else notice a difference when using the activated carbon pre-filters?

Is this thing any better than the Germ Guardian? That thing is a piece of junk, it leaves behind a lot of dust and also according to Consumer Reports its rated below mediocre in removing particles in the air, its just awful in my experience.
