I think the 2020 models are better as they are FHD displays. The newer 2021 models are only HD displays (except the Ace 5g).

Hey Chris, it was within a few bucks of that. Probably because of the local sales tax rate where I am. I couldn't guarantee anything one way or the other. I did see a note that said they wanted six months of active phone line before they would give you and unlock code for free. it's been a while but I've used a lot of unlock codes (from eBay) in the past. I thought the screen was beautiful and vibrant. The bloatware was not too bad. I just didn't care for the sound. I've had the G7 power and Moto G power 2020 and I thought both were great phones. the Metro I had definitely had six gigs of RAM and you could feel it. It was sexy, but in the long run I'd rather have better sound when I wanted to watch a movie or YouTube. also, I believe the Metro is only GSM so I think it leaves out Verizon. It seems to be raining Moto phones. ordinarily I'd be happy to make a deal with Fi but I'm pretty pissed at how much data they charged me for. Their meter seems to run a lot faster than the other carriers I've used. And that's from a guy who loves everything about Google. I got my Moto G power from them for about $100 and 2 months service I think. If you could hit and run like that it's a better deal. I really don't get what these bill credits are all about. Just can't afford Fi in the long run. Hard to beat deals like Red Pocket from the eBay store or using Mint Mobile and Google Voice. Hit me up if you need anything else.

Oh, I know the 2020 models are better than 2021 (why is another question), I just meant it sounds like this deal would only be good for someone wanting just a phone, not service too, on the Power 2020, as it's only $49 of service credit to get rid of vs $279 to get rid of for the Ace.

So, I believe your saying, with Metro possibly being locked for 6 months, only GSM (not sure about that, my friend has Metro,it roams on US Cellular, which is CDMA), $110ish OTD, and not great speakers, if I was okay with a little less RAM and storage (I am), and value good speakers (I do), this Fi deal with the Power only being $49 would be the way to go, since it sounds like I can leave after two months unlocked, GSM and CDMA capability, with just paying about $75?

I purchased a few Moto G Power 2020 phones (Tracfone, Amazon and Google Fi $49) and one of the Moto G Stylus 2020 (Best Buy). They are great phones. Awesome user interface, solid performance, microSD, pretty good camera (I use gcam) and VERY LOUD dual stereo speakers. Don't be discouraged by the IPS screen because it looks nice. I have over $200 google fi credit but I don't need to buy another Moto phone.

For me it makes no sense to look at the 2021 Moto G phones as the 2020 series has some pretty big benefits over the 2021 series. I don't quite understand the Moto G 2021 series pretty much taking a step backwards with only 720p and 1 speaker especially with the success of the Power/Stylus. The Motorola One Ace 5G is interesting but it isn't a big enough "upgrade" for me to switch over from my Stylus...... I am really interested in the Moto Edge S (hopefully it hits the US) that many people are interested in for its performance and low price.

All recent (since t-mobile was in talk of merging with sprint) moto phones on metro have CDMA bands.

Wanted to create some throwaway google accounts to order a phone on each account. For the first couple, it didn't require a phone number when creating the account. When I try to create another one, it requires a phone number to text a verification code to. I don't want to give a phone number for google to associate these throwaway accounts to.

Does anyone know how to get around this? Tried using different computer/incognito mode/VPN, but these all didn't help.

Interesting take. I am a big fan of my Moto g power and stylus. After reading how well the Ace's Snapdragon 750 chip is which is on par or even smidge better than the 765 chip to some, I got more interested. I thought the Stylus camera was quite impressive and had some advantages (laser AF, 16mp ultrawide, dedicated video camera that can do ultrawide video in vertical position, 120 fps in 1080p) over the Ace's camera. Ace's camera has a new camera interface....... I can see value in both the metro and google fi Ace deals. With the Ace deal with google fi, you pay $279 and you get the Ace phone and pretty much almost year service with very light data use. That isn't too bad at all...... The Moto G Power/Stylus are really awesome deals with the google fi credit. I paid $49 for my google Fi Power but I didn't get $49 google fi credit. I traded an iphone 6s for like $257 (ridiculously high value). I am interested in the Ace. I was interested in the Nord n10 5g but the Ace seems better. My redpocket (7gb data monthly plan) isn't up until August so I'm sure there will be plenty of deals later. I really want to see Motorola Edge S. Shame that they took away dual stereo speakers.

Not sure what to order now. I'm on Mint for 5 more months and not sure of the Ace commitment to get it for free and the total cost. I barely use any data.

It's not free. You pay 280 for it. You will get bill credits 280 worth (Google Fi credits) if you complete the requirements.
Usually Moto is tops in bang for the buck for low to mid range phones. But this year I think they drop the ball. Their 2021 Moto G power and Stylus are unimpressive and looks like a downgrade from previous models.
In the $300 range you can now have a OnePlus Nord N10 5g. It even comes with a 90hz display. I'll take that over the current Moto line up.

The Nord N10 5G isn't that good. Luke warm reviews. The Power/Stylus had better reviews. The screen isn't that bright. Lots of people who have the Moto and Nord are saying the screen is better on the Power/Stylus. The speakers are better on the power/stylus as well. The stylus camera is better. If you can get Nord N10 5G for real cheap, it is a good deal but I wouldn't spend $300 for it...... I would definitely take the Ace over the Nord N10 5G especially because it has the 750G. With the $279 google fi Ace deal, you get the phone and pretty much a year of SERVICE.... Too bad the regular Nord didn't come to the US because I prefer that over the Nord N10 5G.

The display of the Moto can go a bit brighter than the Nord, but the Nord is more color accurate to me. The Moto display are too cool (whitish).
My biggest gripe with the 2020 Moto phones is that they lag. I have a much older Moto X4 that doesn't lag like these phones do.

Lots of professional reviewers were ripping the Nord N10 5G because it was like nerfed down version of the regular Nord that was like $50 more. Shame the regular Nord didn't come to the US. Lots of posters who got the Nord and Moto phones in the metro deal thread said that they prefer the moto as well. Even the original OP who posted the nord n10 deal stated he prefer the stylus. I don't think many people are paying full retail for the oneplus or motorola phones... I say judge by what one pays for it. Great deals with metro and Google fi. If I can take either the ace or nord n10 5g, I am picking the ace.... Not many people want to play the drawer method (assuming it may work) but I'm still quite intrigued by metro deals. I pass so many metro AD stores but I really don't need anymore phones right now..... No way a moto x4 with SD630 (only 103k antutu) will outperform a moto g power/stylus with SD665 (172k antutu). Sure SD665 lags at times and doesn't compare to SD765 but look at the price people are paying for the Power. It doesn't feel that much different than my pixel 3a (159k antutu) and that is a good thing. Tremendous bang for the buck.
