I own both also and the reason you got so many thumbs down is because you're forgetting about what makes this Samsung so great.

120hz OLED screen with inky blacks.

It destroys the new iPad Air 2020 model screen. 60hz and annoying gray backlight bleed.

You have to go all the way up to an iPad pro to get a comparable screen.

Screens are important since you're staring at that thing 100% of the time.

Trade in credit for a tab s6 is $270, it loses its enhanced credit of $450. Its a good cash price but once you trade in an item the most credit you can get is $270. If only the $450 credit continued to apply with the $600 price I would have upgraded from my tab s6.

I am using this tablet (S7+), have very low expectation, was planning on returning it if it was too bad.

I am happy to report I am pleasantly surprised. Which ever apps I use are making good use of the real estate. Tab is snappy and the OLED screen is amazing.

Unless you have an edu account, it's not as good as the earlier one that gives more credits and huge discount on the watch.
