I own both also and the reason you got so many thumbs down is because you're forgetting about what makes this Samsung so great.
120hz OLED screen with inky blacks.
It destroys the new iPad Air 2020 model screen. 60hz and annoying gray backlight bleed.
You have to go all the way up to an iPad pro to get a comparable screen.
Screens are important since you're staring at that thing 100% of the time.

Plus the 10.5" form factor is hitting The Sweet Spot between book/comic book readability (which 10/11" is the perfect size for me) and media consumption / Workstation (12/13" works best here)
Honestly I'm just going to hold on to see what Samsung offers in the tab S8. will admit this deal does have me thinking just a bit but I'll be strong I'll have Diamond hands on this
Plus my tab s6 has 4G LTE so....
It is a needed upgrade to my 16GB Note 2014.10.1". The old Note served me well and still works after multiple falls that cracked the case open. It will find a stationery spot in the kitchen as a device for looking up recipes.

I do agree w/some of the other comments .. the apps in Android aren't up to iOS spec, but it is what it is. Using a browser is not a great solution either.
