I own both also and the reason you got so many thumbs down is because you're forgetting about what makes this Samsung so great.

120hz OLED screen with inky blacks.

It destroys the new iPad Air 2020 model screen. 60hz and annoying gray backlight bleed.

You have to go all the way up to an iPad pro to get a comparable screen.

Screens are important since you're staring at that thing 100% of the time.

As someone else mentioned, the discount is reduced. Not sure how much though. It's like getting a price on the car and then it goes up if you trade in your old one. I was getting $100 for a Pixel 3a XL but the price is only reduced by 70 dollars after they adjusted the other discounts so I am not sure how they can justify that.

Darn it, can't decide. My S6 256GB that just arrived last week is still sealed, I paid $350 for it. Now if I use it to trade for the Navy 256GB S7+, it'll be an additional $329 so total cost for the S7+ AND keyboard will be $659. If I opt for the Black 512GB, total cost will be $738. Wonder how much I can flip the S7+ AND Keyboard for....

Before anyone ask, the $50 promo code is from a previous order for not cancelling...

I know the S7 plus has the larger screen and more power under the hood but I just got my tab s6 and I'm really liking it. The AMOLED display is The best screen I've ever had on a device. Period. Full stop.


Plus the 10.5" form factor is hitting The Sweet Spot between book/comic book readability (which 10/11" is the perfect size for me) and media consumption / Workstation (12/13" works best here)

Honestly I'm just going to hold on to see what Samsung offers in the tab S8. will admit this deal does have me thinking just a bit but I'll be strong I'll have Diamond hands on this Wink

Plus my tab s6 has 4G LTE so....

This is a decent deal after taking into account the additional 10% CB.+ referral discount.

It is a needed upgrade to my 16GB Note 2014.10.1". The old Note served me well and still works after multiple falls that cracked the case open. It will find a stationery spot in the kitchen as a device for looking up recipes.

Be careful once those promos expire you can't get them back. I lost like $125 back when I ordered my S20 in 2020. I didn't pay attention and thought tbey didn't expire. As for the S8, I doubt it'll be revolutionary or much different. This has all the bells abs whistles now. I suspect it'll have a better fingerprint reader and snapdragon 888 and that's about it.

Anyone tried wirelessly hooking up to a laptop connected to a company vpn? Would it even connect? If so would the traffic go through the vpn?

Sigh. Bought this. Hope it's not too large .. currently using S6 and it's a bit large for reading in bed. Everything else including DeX is cool.

I do agree w/some of the other comments .. the apps in Android aren't up to iOS spec, but it is what it is. Using a browser is not a great solution either.

I have it works great. The traffic would still pass through - as if you're using your 2nd monitor (anything you do on it) will still be passed.
