Even if you don't need the extra speed over the basic iPad, at this discount, I'd buy it over the basic iPad for future proofing alone. While the basic iPad is sufficient for most tasks, after a couple years it'll feel slow, whereas you'd probably get an extra couple years from this.
If you do multiplayer mobile gaming at all, you WILL notice the difference versus other people playing on other tablets or phones. Your levels will load faster and you will get better graphics at better resolution and frame rates. No joke.
Looks like the MBA isnt due for magsafe/refresh until later this year or early next.
