It would be more accurate if instead of assembling it, you would spread all of the pieces around a ditch in your yard.

I'm sorry, but a slick deal is not an item is back in stock at full price on Amazon.
It's better than the none-frustration version for $169.99.

Well, true but it's been this current price for much of the time.

It's a really great set. The engine design is very cool and my son really enjoyed putting it together, but we ended up buying it for him at MSRP from shop.lego.com

100% full retail price and we're pretending this is a deal?
If you're going to pay full price (you shouldnt) at least buy directly from LEGO and get freebies + VIP points.
If it were in stock at Lego.com that'd be a great idea. Hasn't been for some time. Plus Amazon tends to ship faster.

This is a great deal for someone who wants the set now and doesn't care about the VIP points.

It is if you've been looking for it and have been waiting for it to come back in stock. Deals and value are relative.

Does the set explode if you put a Cara Dune figure inside? Or is that just her Disney career?

Again, not sure if everyone understands what constitutes a "deal", especially a "slick deal". This is not "backinstock.com", it is supposed to provide good or "slick" deals, hence the name 👍
It's also not "mrfantasticodeals.com" If something has been out of sotck for a while, something that you have been wanting to get, and you come to slickdeals and find out it's available you're glad it's there... Now, say you don't care about whether or not this is in stock. You come to slickdeals, see it's available, click the link and... comment on how you don't think its a deal. You could have just clicked thumbs down and moved along but...Dontknow
