You get what you pay for. I leave my bike rack on my vehicle all year long. This thing doesn't fold down, so that would mean that I couldn't open the rear door -- ever. Unless you're going to leave this off your vehicle most of time, it's not good.

I guess this will work for Walmart priced bikes, in case they fall off the rack, no way id put my Santa Cruz, or Specialized on that, complaints about build quality is enough to stay away.

Yea, thats kinda a dumb design decision unless its on a non hatchback maybe it'll work. I use a Yakima Stick up on my 15' Golf Sportwagen

Edit: It looks like it fold down, the center post has a pin at the bottom that allows you to fold it sideways like my stick up.

This is good for cheap bikes if you don't mind bikes falling off the rack. If you have high end bikes, get better racks.
