*noob* here, don't kill me. I couldnt find anything searching via app for this exact model. If I missed something, mods do your thing.

Single stage electric (plug, no battery) 18in clearing width,13a motor.

This is obviously not going to bust up ice or chew through 12+ inches of snow, but has to be better than shoveling!

With the 3 year warranty (Allstate) and free shipping pre-tax the total comes to $112.25. 90 day return policy, can be returned in store, shipped and sold by Walmart. Manufacturer recommends 14ga electrical cord (up to 50ft) which is less expensive than the 12ga many others require. (50+ft 12 ga required)

Ideal for quick snow pickups on mid-sized driveways and walkways
No gas, oil or tune-ups make it effortless to start and maintain
Powerful 13-amp motor moves up to 550 lbs of snow per minute
2-blade cold-and-abrasion-resistant plastic auger cuts 18 in. wide by 8 in. deep with each pass
180° adjustable directional chute throws snow up to 20 ft
Compact wheels for easy maneuverability
ETL approved; Full 2-year warranty through manufacturer

Ohio winters are hit or miss. This year I've needed something better than a shovel 4x, currently have 15" on the ground and the cheapest plowing service for my driveway is $50/trip. At this price with the warranty its going to be hard to beat. If not, easy return.

Price on Amazon for the SJ618e is $124 as of typing this.

Not the cheapest that this has ever been sold for, but it reviews pretty well, is in stock and not refurb.

Fyi the SJ615e is smaller, less powerful, and the warranty is more expensive.

This is ok. The sweet spot is like 3-6" of snow. The wetter and heavier the snow the lower the ideal depth. Every 5 years or so my area will get a real whopper and with this you just have to stay on top of the snow and clear the driveway during the storm. But I haven't gotten enough snow to break this out in 2 years so it's really not worth owning a legit gas powered one.

Maybe for very small driveway and light snow. I'd rather have smaller gas powered ones so that you're not going to get the cord tangled and potentially cut it while using it.

For under 5-6" snow this thing works amazing. Keep your expectations reasonable and you won't be disappointed.

Thank you for your insight. With the exception of an overnight blizzard my expectation would be to use it during the storm to keep the accumulation on the driveway manageable. Using a blower 2-3x per storm is still considerably better than shoveling 12+ inches afterward.

If your plowing powder, the chute clogs and blows the chute itself off the blower body. This happened repeatedly. Also, anything over 2" bog's in down. It's basically a toy.

I agree with the clogs for the most part. It can not be the primary snow thrower. I use this for the large deck. Does the job on the deck and doesn't damage the planks.

I got this last year & used it fir the first time last week. I only have a patio, 2 car sized driveway and small walkway ti the front door. I watched a few YouTube demos & a few on snowplowing tips. Honestly it beat shoveling by a long shot! I did the front walk & driveway in under 30 min. Would have been faster if it wasn't so damn cold. Snow was 8 inches. So for low maintenance, doesn't take up too much room in the garage and I can move it between the two cars parked in the garage to get it in & out; it was a winner for me.

Chute spray (DuPont or other brand), WD40, or ceramic car coating all keep the chutes and blades from clogging even in wet snow. It's still not strong enough for heavy, wet snow but it won't clog. Even the electric snow shovels don't get jammed with snow when treated. Also works for regular manual hand shovels.

Not a POS...I use it to clear a large deck in PA, will do up to 10 inches of powder...heavy wet snow will clog it up...but has its uses, not a POS👍

I got this on woot also about a month ago. Definitely worth the $60 I paid! Your expectations have to be reasonable for this price point. And boy it def exceeded mine! I cleared half my block of fresh powder (5-6"). It's not as powerful obviously for wet and heavy snow but it can still blow it a bit. I have to try the WD-40 for the clogs. It clogs sometimes but all you have to do is back up and run it while in a clear space to empty it.

The only annoying thing is the shoot cover pops out constantly. It seems to be a defect since someone else mentioned it also. What I did was lightly screwed in 2 screws on opposite ends. Just shallow enough so that it can still rotate. It's held up since. For $60 I cannot complain at all. Really happy with the purchase. Beats shoveling by a long shot.

I have the "15amp version" of this. Max it pulls from outlet is 1500watts. I wish someone starts making 20amp motors of this (for 20amps outlet).

Oh and I forgot very important detail - out of the box it was a POS like others have stated. I found out that the belt/auto tensioning system they used was the weak link(too loose, probably to prevent motor burn out). Got rid of the tensioner/clutch and found a belt at Ace hardware that is 5% smaller. Made it 100% better.
