I'll wait until they have 400 mile range and 15 minute full charge at every parking spot in the USA. Otherwise, kills the deal..
At a certain point, additional range is pointless. How often do you drive 400 miles one way without stopping? If you do that often, you should probably consider moving closer to wherever you are driving to all the time.

Ever try to drive across Nevada or drive West Texas to Arizona? Every bit of extra range helps!

Unless you REALLY must have a Tesla RIGHT NOW, most would wait till the Tax credits bill pass.... They need to cut the price by at least 3K more for the crowds to buy in now (which they will, the longer the tax drama stretches on)

Keyword is "how often". Surely there must be a few superchargers in between? (asking genuinely)

If they allow Tesla to receive full tax credit again, I don't understand the concern about being "retroactive". It would very likely apply to all of year 2021, regardless of what day you purchased it. Or are people wondering if those who bought in 2020 would get the credit? That would make no sense to me.

this. The bill would read "on 2021. Etc etc.." not " on March 2021..." right?

I suspect this is trying to offset folks who are waiting for the tax credit re-instatement. Highly unlikely it will be retroactive

With democrats having both house+senate the chance is very high. Only ? Is a salary cap

It would be crazy not to wait to confirm the tax credit
Depends. I don't think there'll be a major tax overhaul with a simple majority.

That point hasn't been reached. They inflate range, imo.

For a savings of $7500, that's quite a gamble. Risk/reward is not worth it... just wait a few months to confirm

Yes. And this verbiage:

For manufacturers that pass the 200,000-vehicle threshold before the enactment of this bill, the number of vehicles sold in between 200,000 and those sold on the date of enactment are excluded to determine when the 600,000-vehicle threshold is reached

Unclear if that means excluded for purposes of just tabulation or also credit.

I wish this was available in 2019 but at least got 2400.
