After struggling for an hour, finally, I figured it! These are my steps:

1. Google for EDU discount to Samsung.com and login from there ( I would use INCOGNITO for it )
2. Hover over the Mobile and click on the Watch section >> Watch 3, choose the Silver 45MM LTE (not sure if it works for the black one )
3. Choose no-trade-in
4. Add desired bands from OP's post ( I went with Novonappa® Hybrid Band (22mm) Black )
5. Skip the Add-ons
6. Apply Promo Code - PALETTEPANDA21
7. Apply Promo Code for the band ( found on OP's main post ). My Promo Code was GPTYR840BRBBW

Your total should be around $148.xx some change before the taxes. You can knock another $10-$15 off if it's a new account with a referral code. I opened a new account and saved more. My total was $149.xx with VA taxes.

It seems that this only works on Silver not the black.

The active 2 lte has 1.5 ram vs watch 3 lte has 1 gb ram. is this correct?

Make sure and follow the original posts exact steps. If you go directly to the watch link without logging in, going to offers, education, watches, selecting the black, changing to silver, etc. It will not add the full education discount.

Guys I was facing the same issue...was frustrated but then switched to a different device.. cleared cache and used incognito...worked like a charm....Used referral code given in the screenshot in a previous post...and total was 141 (153 including tax in Texas)

The Costco watch is Bluetooth only, not LTE. Just FYI, it's easy to miss.
