After struggling for an hour, finally, I figured it! These are my steps:

1. Google for EDU discount to Samsung.com and login from there ( I would use INCOGNITO for it )
2. Hover over the Mobile and click on the Watch section >> Watch 3, choose the Silver 45MM LTE (not sure if it works for the black one )
3. Choose no-trade-in
4. Add desired bands from OP's post ( I went with Novonappa® Hybrid Band (22mm) Black )
5. Skip the Add-ons
6. Apply Promo Code - PALETTEPANDA21
7. Apply Promo Code for the band ( found on OP's main post ). My Promo Code was GPTYR840BRBBW

Your total should be around $148.xx some change before the taxes. You can knock another $10-$15 off if it's a new account with a referral code. I opened a new account and saved more. My total was $149.xx with VA taxes.

Thanks! Just got it for 148 + tax with no trade in. Now to figure out how to cancel the Galaxy Watch 1 orders I placed last week.

It also seemed like any combination of bands not the default made it not work. Hopefully it's a good leather band. I would have preferred one of the silicone ones for exercising. At this price though it won't be too bad to find a 3rd party replacement.

Not sure if deal is still alive. I ordered 2 hours ago.

Add 45mm LTE Mystic Silver with black band and apply trade-in. In the cart, from the bottom suggestions, select brown leather band and add it to the cart. Apply codes ETSLR84LAEGUJ and PALETTEPANDA21.

Total would be $76.49 for LTE watch 45mm, 1 black leather band, 1 brown leather band with Gear S3/S3 frontier trade-in.

So it look like I was able to get it cheaper for silver...$142 for silver while it
s $225 weird ETSLR84LAEGUJ still won't work after clearing cache. Let me try Edge

I tried a bunch of the proposed solutions here. Wasn't able to get it to work without a trade-in. Lowest I could get it was $220 after finally getting the educational program to sort of work.
