Pretty shitty this year, no microsd card, only 1080p screen, no mst for samsung pay, nothing in the box like the akg earphones or the 25w fast charger. Doesn't matter what the big tech review sites say camera is definitely not a major upgrade over S20 Samsung must be paying a lot for the rave reviews to push the phone. Battery life is still pretty bad.

I got the phone and honestly didn't feel much of an upgrade over the s20 i traded in.

These were the some distinct advantages of chosing a Samsung over other phones but now they have taken away all that

At this rate a pixel 5 or even an iphone 12 is a better choice in my opinion. Both of those don't suffer from the terrible battery life that you get on samsung!

Exactly my thoughts and google photos taking away unlimited photo storage basically the Pixel is the way to go in android if you want the best camera and the lastest software and if you dont like just go with an iphone.

And if you dont care about either I think mid range moto phones will be great with expandible storage, near stock android and huge batteries!

There is no reason to buy Samsung anymore!

Some on the previous threads said that you can call Samsung and ask for a price match. Threaten them by telling them that you will return the phone if they don't want to. You do have 30 days to return, I think.

It's like letting someone drive your Ferrari but only on an island with a road that's half a mile long.
Cloud storage is yet another "fee". You have to trust some company with your data and then pay them for the privilege. Then you have to hope that you're in a 5g or 4g area with a great connection to transfer files. Hope you don't throttled for using too much of your "unlimited" data.
They will continue with this behavior if we purchase these "upgrades". If you want to known about Samsung's next "great" phone the just look at Apple's previous phone.

I like my s21 ultra a lot. Battery gets me through a day most of the time, initially I was worried. But, the learning seems to have fixed it. Camera is awesome love the versatility. Can't speak to the regular s21 though. I had the s20fe and was very happy with it. If not for the fantastic trade in deals I would've stuck with that.

I can understand being upset about the removed features. The SD card support removal was annoying for me, personally. But dont let anyone deceive you. The S21 Ultra is significantly better than the Pixel. In camera quality and versatility, it has a better display, better battery life, more powerful SoC and pen support.

For all the missing and removed features, these are now closer to what the retail price should have been. If you had the s20 or Note, these were easy to skip over this year. With the rumored demise of the Note line, there was really no reason to "upgrade"

This is the cheapest phone with premium 8gb RAM (not ddr3/4) and the 888 SD...

Pixel density is still higher than the original retina display and the actually lower resolution (which is still higher than 1080p) means the already overpowered SOC is even more effective. ANY lag on any app is fully on the developers not the hardware. The camera is the 3rd best camera on a current phone narrowly behind Pixel 5 and the s21 ultra.

Curious how many people are exceeding 128gb. With multiple large download gacha games and thousands of pictures, I'm not even at 32gb. I could load 32gb of flacs and still have 40gb for recording video or taking more pictures

Either way, consider the s21 your temp phone for a year and a trade in for whatever follows it, which should be free or near free for you if you use the right promo. They will likely add the sd card back in because people are so butthurt about it...

The s21 feels premium, s20 feels cheap. Samsung definitely looked at what HTC was doing with the U11/12 and it shows. I wish HTC could have succeeded in the US but carriers weren't selling them and the advertisement wasn't there.
