Pretty shitty this year, no microsd card, only 1080p screen, no mst for samsung pay, nothing in the box like the akg earphones or the 25w fast charger. Doesn't matter what the big tech review sites say camera is definitely not a major upgrade over S20 Samsung must be paying a lot for the rave reviews to push the phone. Battery life is still pretty bad.

I got the phone and honestly didn't feel much of an upgrade over the s20 i traded in.

These were the some distinct advantages of chosing a Samsung over other phones but now they have taken away all that

At this rate a pixel 5 or even an iphone 12 is a better choice in my opinion. Both of those don't suffer from the terrible battery life that you get on samsung!

Anyone having issues with the education discount being applied? I got it to apply one time then had to edit the order and haven't been able to get it to apply since. It shows on the screen to select the phone that the discounts being applied but once I get to the cart its no longer there..

Sure if you want a phone that is great at benchmarking get the iphone. If you care about the battery draining faster and taking much longer to charge get an iPhone. Having a big notch while watching videos and having half the nits looking washed out in comparison. I really wanted to stick with the iPhone 12 but after trying both the iPhone is years behind. Face ID in a pandemic is also broken. Fingerprint sensor wins here.

When I log into the samsung site it shows the S20 FE for 554.99 but when I ordered one a couple weeks ago, that will arrive this week, the cost was 699.99. The chat agent I chatted with said that he would forward it up and they, whoever they are, will look at it and adjust my price accordingly. Anybody have any luck getting them to price match the carrier version? I'm not sure if they will, since while Best Buy has them, they require a new line activation. If you want to buy the phone without activation, Best Buy tells you to buy the unlocked version.

I'm with AT&T, and so far as I know, a lot of the advanced calling features (Wifi Calling and VOLTE) only work on the carrier branded model. Though if anybody has definitive evidence that this is not the case, please let me know. [I'd read, at least with the S20s, that you could get it to work on unlocked versions by flashing the AT&T ROM, but that this eventually stopped working.] I'd much rather get the unlocked version than the bloatware-filled AT&T version.

Pardon the dumb question.
Wife and I have a Galaxy S7 Edge (Verizon). I have two questions.
1. Is it worth upgrading to S20 or is it better to upgrade to S21?
2. If I bought an unlocked phone, can I just take my SIM card from S7 and put it in S20/S21 and start using it right away?

As far as I know, WiFi calling and VoLTE should work with any compatible unlocked phone as well(if carrier supports). Currently using unlocked version of Galaxy S10+ with T-Mobile; both WiFi calling and VoLTE working fine. Also worked with Red Pocket GSMA (AT&T). YMMV
