Thanks but a bit confused by "system calculates the return by subtracting the promo"? So can you please elaborate a bit on this?
When I am returning s21 Ultra 512 T Mobile it says I will get $25.xx something. I am not able to see it again

You should get the refund of what you paid minus the trade-in credit value.

Do you mean get a refund of what you paid plus get back a trade-in credit value for the phone you traded in and already sent back?

I would venture to think you would get the amount that was actually charged to the credit card refunded back to the credit card but the phone that was traded in would likely be an account store credit/promo code, or something. Also, the value would likely be significantly less than the promotional value they assigned as part of the deal as they would only give you the normal trade-in value of the phone.

Anyone who has actually experienced this wish to clarify specifics?

Do you want a cookie? like what is the point of this post?
The smart thing to do is buy every couple generations so that you can still get good value on the trade in, but also get some use out of the phone. At ~ 2years the warranty is gone, the phone has slowed relative to the newer tech, but with a little legwork you usually trade up for close to free and can get some other gadget often (tablet/watch/earbuds etc).

The point is it's just a phone, and it's worth exploring not blowing $700 on a DEAL that you may not need. I would like a cookie thank you.

I basically converted a Verizon Locked S10e 128GB (I'm with AT&T so it was useless to me) into an S21 5G 256GB for $500 + $100 Samsung Credit. I got the S10e from Walmart for $199 and it's the phone I'll be trading-in. Not a great deal, but I've been trying the S10e for the last week while they ship my S21 (it's been almost a week and a half and still nothing) and I must say I really like the S10e. It's the perfect one-handed device, and it has a Headphone Jack and MicroSD card slot. I'm having doubts about keeping the S21 and just getting an AT&T S10e if I decide to sell it.

Does anyone who has used both the S21 and S10e in real world situations regret upgrading to the S21 from the S10e? Or is the S21 really that superior? I'm limited to using the S10e right now on Wi-Fi so I can't really test it to its max potential. I was also eyeing the Note 10+ with the S-Pen and MicroSD card slot if I sell the S21. The last Galaxy phones I used were the Note4 and Note 5, so I've been away from Samsung for a long time. I've used about 125GB of storage in 2 years on my current LG phone, so 256GB internal should be enough for now, but that would be cutting it short as far as keeping this phone for another 2-3 years; I'm not a Cloud guy.

I like to do the same. Instead of trying to buy a new phone I went to ubreakifix to get my battery replaced. They replaced the battery but damaged the screen for which they did not take responsibility and want another $230 to fix the screen. I had to come to this thread and buy a new phone.

So you like to go around to different threads on deals for a specific item to tell people why they shouldn't buy it. Because for your specific weird use case you don't think it is helpful to have the newer tech?
No one is spending $700 to get the phone, the phone after tradein comes down to under $300 easy, So every 2 years you can spend about $300 to keep a warranty, have the newest tech, and get some other free things while you are at it.....basically $10/month, for a device I use extremely often, I think it is worth $10 a month to keep it highly functional and with the latest tech...but keep using your S7, i'm sure it feels nice and snappy

No, I meant exactly what I said. If you send in the trade-in device and decide to return your purchase, you get nothing back.

• What happens if I send my trade-in and return the new device?

We're sure you'll love your new Galaxy Smartphone or tablet, but our standard Return Policy applies — just in case. If you received a free promotional gift with your new phone, you must return the gift as well as the phone to receive credit for your return and a full refund.

In the case of purchases made at a Samsung Galaxy Studio, you must return the Galaxy device purchased as part of this Trade-In Program within 30 days to the store from where it was purchased. Please review the terms of our Return Policy.

Please note that if you return your New Samsung Device after you send your old device, you will not receive any refund or other value for the Trade-In Device credit deducted from the purchase price of your New Samsung Device.

Wow, that's crazy. In a case I had with Verizon they at least said they would give the normal trade-in value of the phone which often doesn't amount to a lot, depending on the phone you trade in, but at least something. I'll be sure not to send trade-in until I'm 100% sure I'm keeping everything. Thanks for clarifying.
